Growing up in the 70s & 80s I could have never imagined this. My older brothers used to scatter their comics across the living room floor, countless stories of super powered beings and aliens and monsters so rich with myth and moral allegory. And truly beautiful artwork--drawings from some of the world's most unsung artists, champions of pencil and brush...epic legends of storytelling. This was a secret world. It wasn't on TV. It wasn't on the radio. Mom and Dad didn't know about it. This was riding your bike to the store with pocket change to buy the latest comic and then reading it in your tree fort to find out what Spider-man, or Batman, or the X-men were going to do next. It is seriously bizarre and wonderful to see this secret world being re-introduced now to so many people. I mean you have likes of Redford, Glenn Close, and Michael Douglas portraying these characters in film. It's really kind of a trip.

RockfordXBL The first Ant-Man was Hank Pym, who later became Giant-Man, but Janet Van Dyne was the ONLY Wasp. There is no such character as "Hope Van Dyne" in the comics because Hank and Janet never had children together, and they're also only in their early 30's and not old enough to have adult children. And since Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are both founding members of the Avengers and have been in the Avengers longer than any other Marvel characters, I would think that most people would want them in the MCU. Scott Lang has nothing to do with the Avengers.
