Good video, Before the MCU I think the only recognisable Marvel heroes were Spider-Man, The Hulk and the Thing (although many people would call him "the rock man).

@@AfricanReadsComics Marvel's Two in One (featuring The Thing() ran for 100 issues and came out when Marvel had many financial issues. It sold very well for many years. Check it out.

@@AfricanReadsComics Not sure what you use to judge his minor popularity but I'll point out a few things. Most popular member of the original Marvel super hero group (CBR). Carried his own book for 9 years in the "Marvel Two in One" series which, among other stories, was the first place Thanos and Adam Warlock made significant appearances. Then carried his solo book for 3 years. That's a lot longer than sad characters like the New Captain Marvel (who I believe just lost her 5th book in a few years). Frequent guest in other titles (see CMRO for a very long list).Has appeared in over 2700 comics since his creation in 1963. A standard in pretty much every major Marvel storyline since the original Secret Wars. Member of the FF, The New Avengers, The West Coast Avengers and SHIELD among others. There have been about 10 animated FF shows and 4 movies to date, Frequent guest in non-FF cartoons. Scheduled to appear in Deadpool 2 but, due to last minute difficulties with the actor, was replaced with Colussus, Stepped out of the Marvel Universe entirely in 1979 with (hold on to your hat) Hanna Barbera's "Fred and Barney meet The Thing" (yes, The Flintstones). Has also appeared on Robot Chicken, The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. "It's Clobberin' Time." has been an iconic phrase and T-shirt seller for more than 50 years. The WWE wrestler CM Punk uses the phrase as a call and response to the crowd. A search of Amazon or E-Bay will provide a long list of The Thing merchandise. About 20 different video game appearances. I could go on with magazine top super-hero lists but I think this should give you a taste of Benjamin Grimm's reach. All of this without even a single cameo in the MCU. Imagine if they can produce a decent FF movie (I have serious doubts).

@milesalpha1 Yep. I knew I was right. I bought some back issues recently of Marvel Two In One. I loved when The Thing teamed up with Doc Savage, Deathlok and Black Goliath.
