Marvel's Daredevil - Matt vs. Stick

Stick invites Matt on a mission to help destroy something called the “Black Sky” from falling into the wrong hands. Down at the docks, Black Sky turns out to be a kid, and Matt foils the plan.

Yes, the show is popular for having a fight scene that goes hand to hand with story (pun intended). Just like in season 3, when bullseye was getting his ass kicked up close so he tries to get some distance where he has the advantage. Fisk sucks at fighting so relies a lot on his weight and size to make up for the difference. This show very amazing with details, fight choreography and as well as, the story.

Matt is way better than stick at fighting because he’s younger but stick keeps calm which makes him sense what Matt is going to do next. I love this fight for how simple it is 1: they aren’t fighting to save or hurt the world like most heroes and villains do, they are fighting for their different believes, Matt attacks first because he killed the kid, a sign that Matt is trying to end violence, stick murdered the kid, a sign that the kid couldn’t be redeemed 2: I like the setting, it isn’t a big place like an airport, a distocian battlefield, or a ruined field, it’s an apartment, where they don’t have many choices to move, just a place where they can hit each other till one bleeds 3: the soundtrack

Stick has this arrogance about him that suggests he knows how we all should live, but he can't even face the challenge of the emotional state of a 10-year-old. Let's not forget that he said he would prepare Matt, but what has he done? He taught him for like a year, then Matt gives him a paper bracelet, and Stick heads for the hills. "Figure it out for yourself kid, I don't do feelings". And he has the balls to say things like "Haven't I taught you anything, kid?"...Well no you haven't, not in the long scheme of things. You, an old man with years of experience and wisdom were put to the task of teaching a boy your way of life. What’s great about Stick and Matt, is they are a version of father and son. Weird father and son!! Stick actually is proud of Matt, and Matt really does love Stick. You see it in S2 when he is telling Elektra that he’s going to save him, and when he does save Stick Stick tells him how proud he is of him.

This might be my favorite fight of the show. There's so much emotion and backstory behind it. This fight is built on Matt's pent-up resentment because Stick was a father figure to him but he abandoned him for so many years and emotionally abused him. Stick killing the Black Sky kid was the last straw for Matt.
