The main differences between DC and Marvel's origin stories are the characters. The powers of most Marvel characters come from being obtained either through mutation or through scientific means. In DC, most of the main characters have innate powers. This is reflected in the origin story writing of both universes. While the stories in DC are mostly stable and straight forward, in Marvel they mostly progress with ups and downs and unexpected events occur a lot. Of course, the stories of both universes are not always like this. There are times when they differ, but I generally think their stories are like this. Marvel writers love to try new things and surprise readers in their stories. DC writers like their stories to be consistent. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Which one is better depends on the taste of the reader.
