The only people I’ve seen say Frank is a monster are characters in the show. Everyone I’ve seen in comments on KZbin are in complete agreement with what Frank does.
@beastmode16473 жыл бұрын
@@flamethrower1273 Because the show is from frank’s perspective. It’s also well-acted, well-shot, and well-written. Therefore, people who watch this show are likely to support frank. But imagine a show written from someone else’s perspective. Like that kid in the punisher’s courtroom. “I don’t give a shit what you’ve been through, you killed my dad!”...remember him? A lot fewer people would side with frank after that show. Imagine being in that hospital in the punisher’s first appearance. Frank is tying to tag someone with a SHOTGUN in the middle of a hospital. People running everywhere. Would you support frank’s crusade? I wouldn’t call frank a monster. But his philosophy is questionable as hell. Remember his argument with daredevil: Frank: “there’s no good in the filth I put down” Matt: “how do you know?” Frank: “I just know” That’s a terrible argument. Average person is 40 years old. There’s no way you can “just know” all of someone’s choices. I think on some level, frank’s sanctimoniousness is a front. On some level, he just likes killing.
@Veridiano022 жыл бұрын
@@beastmode1647 While I partialy agree with you, here's why I think you're basically mistaken from the base of your argument. Punisher never moves against low life, let's say "everyday" common criminals. He's not patrolling the streets killing someone stealing a car, for example. He targets very powerfull, very dangerous criminals, like the mob, mafias, cartels, big heads of the drug dealing, psychos, hardcore rapists and murderers. I mean, I get your point and I agree on justice not being like that for a reason, and it's a good reason. Justice can't be taken with a shotgun to the faces of those you consider evil. Whoever it's true, as the punisher says, that sometimes law is inadequate. People who are powerfull, with goverment connections and just plays with the lifes of many just by happily choosing who lives and who dies are people who are never gonna face justice, so sending someone as the punisher to put some shit inside their pants is something I partially agree aswell. I can't say it's the right thing, but... Mate, some days I just wish there was a punisher there to, well, punish certain people. So, basically, Punisher don't give chase to gray or questionable situations, he isn't patroling low neighboorhoods, he's targeting very specific, very hardcore criminals he things justice will never punish properly. So he's right when he says “there’s no good in the filth I put down”. He did his research and those who punish, Frank makes certain they deserve it. Also, I agree the punisher stories may have some interesting turns that no one has explored yet. Like seeing the point of view of one of his targets, seeing him as the one chasing, or having him fight a real pshyco, like Hannibal Lechter, for example.

LOVE IT !! I said it in the beginning of the 2nd to last episode that Frank was gonna help Pilgrim. I didn't like the guy in the beginning, he's definitely creepy but he renounced his hateful beliefs and killed all of his old neo nazi crew....that redeemed his character to me even though he was set up as a villain cuz I fucking hate neo nazis
