"The Series Finale" is the ninth episode and series finale of the American television miniseries WandaVision, based on the Marvel Comics characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. It follows Wanda as she tries to protect the idyllic suburban life and the family she created for herself in the town of Westview. The episode is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. It was written by head writer Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman.
Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their respective roles as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision from the film series, starring alongside Debra Jo Rupp, Teyonah Parris, Evan Peters, Randall Park, Kat Dennings, and Kathryn Hahn. Schaeffer was hired in January 2019 to serve as head writer of the series, with Shakman joining that August. Filming took place in the Atlanta metropolitan area, including at Pinewood Atlanta Studios, and in Los Angeles.
"The Series Finale" was released on Disney+ on March 5, 2021.

I wouldn't rule out Mephisto just yet, he could potentially appear in Dr Strange 2 since it seems we will be getting further explanation of what's happening with Wanda's children (and of course, in the comics, they are the spawn of Mephisto essentially). I was also a bit frustrated by the Evan Peters reveal on first watching, but after thinking about it for a bit, it sort of makes sense. Not only was it a meta joke to how sitcom shows sometimes tend to recast characters, but I think it was the only believable way to help us buy into the mystery of whether he was really Pietro or not. If they had cast any other actor besides Evan Peters for the role then we would've been confused and probably wouldn't have bought into the fact that Wanda was so easily fooled by him (in the beginning anyways). In other words, they managed to put us, the audience, in the same shoes as Wanda by trying to figure out whether or not he's real/fake. I think this finale is a perfect demonstration of not setting extremely high expectations based on really far-fetched fan theories. I love your guys' reaction and cant wait for Falcon and The Winter Soldier!

As we know. Fake Pietro was Ralph was living in that house. Agatha showed up and took over his house & spelled him. That's it. White Vision has all the memories and no love or feelings for Wanda so there's no need to stay there. Wanda didn't ever create Mutants She said "no more mutants" which wouldn't make any sense either way at this time. The Darkhold IS evil. The God Chthon (who made Wanda the Scarlet Witch) created it in the Dark Dimension which.leads to Mephisto, Nightmare etc so Mutants are coming. Anyway I loved this ending bc it stuck to the core & heart of the story. All the theories and unrealistic unnecessary cameos never penetrated my mind. Good thing Falcon & Winter Soldier wont have all these fan theories bc it ruined the experience and took away from what the show waa about

My feelings about this episode was exactly that of Booth. I kinda saw how they were going to end things after episode 8, and prepared myself for the finale to just accept it for what it is. Mephisto and Ultron theories overhyped this thing. LMAO Mushi😅😅😅. I feel you man. So many unanswered questions. Also what happened to the Beekeeper guy🤷🏾‍♂️?! Anyway, the new outfit kinda made up for everything coz it's soo damn GORGEOUS!

Your reaction to Wanda's new outfit when she re-absorbed her powers was everything! Absolutely relateable, it looked so freaking good! I really loved the finale. I wish a few things had been a bit different, but I think this show purposely left a lot of things open so they can be potentially explored in future movies. And if that's the case, then the show could be even better in hindsight! :)

Did anyone else notice how Wanda's magic aura lost its vigor (it's black and slight yellow coloration). When she had to save the guards from falling to their deaths, her magic was faint and weak; how it looked in Age of Ultron.

So glad the ending was diff than I expected. Also, the darkhold is the only Spellbook in the history of Marvel that has spells about the Multiverse beyond the dimensional barrier. They have properly set up for her to be either a primary or secondary antagonist in the new Doctor Strange movie. The reason it has so much information on the Multiverse is because of dormammu. Did I not mention he wrote the darkhold? If you're wondering who he is, he is the true antagonist of the first Doctor Strange movie.

I believe Agatha was trying to take the power from Wanda because she didn’t know how to control her powers and she said The Scarlet Witch is destined to destroy the world. So I think she was really trying to prevent that from happening. Also, I think that last end credits scene when she hears her children crying out for help, I think she’s gonna get her twins and that’s what’s gonna set off Multiverse of Madness. She’ll do anything to get those kids back. Just my opinion

Keep in mind Kevin Feige seems to love to play the long-game and he also seems to know what fans like, because he is also a fan. The show was very self-aware, so whatever questions we asked watching the show, for example, Darcy and Jimmy also asked. So, for all we know, we may get our fan theories realized later in other movies or shows, but this was just planting the seeds. Nowadays, it seems like fans are getting better & better at predicting things and so, to fool people, the trend now is to misdirect fans into thinking they were wrong, but then once they accept they were wrong, then later do something that turns out they were right the whole time. So, it sort of like a double misdirect. Things were also planted back in Iron Man 1 that were not realized until Avengers: Infinity War or something said in Age of Ultron that was not realized until Avengers End Game. So, at this point, we do not know what we could get later. I think WandaVision will make fans go back and more deeply appreciate Age of Ultron now. The way I see it, this finale was more about Wanda and everything else not directly pertinent to Wanda was put on the shelf for now and "may" get answered in Dr. Strange 2. Even Ralph Bohner could still be a misdirect. Agnes was controlling Ralph's mind, but did she also give him that speed?? Wanda reading the Darkhold and/or Wanda finding her kids could be how the multiverse opens. I think it would've been too soon for White Vision to stick around and seek out Wanda for answers since Wanda still needs to process a lot herself and just lost her Vision...again. Maybe White Vision will go to Wakanda and seek Shuri for answers or he will just learn to be his own hero, traveling from place to place. Also, memories are not the same thing as experiences and emotions. So, even though White Vision may have all the memories, to him it is still just a collection of data. It does not necessarily mean that he will interpret those memories the same way and, for example, love Wanda or even want to be a hero.

This show was amazing and you are both A-dorable! I love the show had smart heroes, not just strong; Wanda used knowledge to beat Agatha. Vision used knowledge to defeat White Vision. So good! Questions had to be left because the story isn’t over, though. This will link Dr Strange to next part of Wanda’s story. I think White Vision had to leave in order to process all the memories that had been locked. X-Men tease with Quicksilver was disappointing. But, it’s going to make their final appearance that much better. The whole show was crafted holding important information and creating anticipation. It’s a good thing they held off. They put red herrings (Evan Peters, Dottie, etc) in to distract us. It is the art of good storytelling! It keeps you guessing, then twist your expectations. IF they did everything you expect, it would be predictable. I used to be an amateur critic. I agree you have to let people tell their story, which can be hard when you know the characters.

Wanda had to make her Sophie's choice and she pick to live a healthier life but now messing with the darkhold book which is a very bad move that will bring Dr. Strange to cure it. I love WandaVision and I enjoyed you guys reaction but my only disappointment is that they didn't play the song from Foreigner Double Vision LOL The lesson learn is to just look at Marvel content without developing your own story and learn to just watch and be entertain and I disagree that it wasn't not answered because in Endgame Gamora from the other time line didn't go with Guardians of the Galaxy but you know she will meet up with them in the future and White Vision can always get with Wanda in future movies just because you want instant gratification but Marvel always play the long game. Yes she bring needed balance to your beautiful relationship LOL

My guess or theory about Evan Peters is not Fox QS instead his Ralph... Nice to know I am correct, but even if I didn't get it right. I wouldn't be dissapointed over such, also that's why I never bandwagoned with the overhyped theories and over reaching interpretations, hence this made me appreciate this show; that it's about Wanda and grief. This is not about the mutants, Mephisto or Reed Richards, yes it would be nice to see cameos as a bonus, but let those just be extra stuff dwell on what's in front of us and not look for something that isn't there. 😊

It depends on what you wanted to get out of this last episode. I wanted a much longer run time as there was so much to cover but most of all I wanted Vision to survive to stay a part of the MCU. The children going to sleep was very sad but Hex Vision and Wanda parting from each other made me cry because this show is really about them and their relationship. Their truly epic love story. Wanda and Vision. Everyone else is icing on the cake. I know that Wanda and original Vision will meet again to say, "Hello" after they go on their respective personal journeys. Pietro aka Ralph was either a massive troll by Marvel or something else is going to go down in another show/movie. Marvel is in for the long haul marathon not the short sprint. Things will be answered eventually. The Scarlet Witch is now here (and looking fabulous) and Vision is still around (probably on his way to Wakanda for help) and this show and series, imo, was trult spectacular. Please remember these Disney+ shows will never wrap up with a bow as they connect to other stories. Looking forward to Zack Snyders' Justice League and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Enjoyed this very real review. You both take care.

Wanda and Vision along with characters like Sam and Bucky need to be explored as they are fascinating characters in their own right but because they were in movies with Steve Rogers, Thor and Tony Stark ,well, guess who gets the limelight? Now we get to deep dive into who they are and as a crazy fan of Vision and Wanda I am just so grateful for what Marvel Studios did with and for them and will do for other characters as well. This show was so amazing and there’s so much more to come from Disney and Marvel so I look forward to your Falcon and Winter Soldier reviews and I do hope, again, that you both enjoy your weekend.

This is Wanda's story and introducing new characters more than what we got would be way too convoluted and over the top. How can 9 episodes be too rushed. Monica story will continue. I was disappointed about Ralph as well but I read that Marvel tricked us the way Agatha tricked Wanda. Agatha says that Wanda was so crippled by self doubt that she believed Ralph was the real Pietro and in the same way the fans were so desperate for him to be Fox's Quicksilver that we believed it too! It worked because it was Evan Peters playing him and he's played Quicksilver before, so our own doubt about his legitimacy made us buy into the trick. Any other actor would've been a dead giveaway so it was all part of Agatha's magic. I kind of like that it was a meta trick played by Agatha on Wanda and by Marvel on us, I just didn't appreciate the payoff of him just being a boner joke and nothing else :/

They are not adapting the mutant as part of Wanda's storyline. She's a Witch with Nexus being and powers. I feel the Mutants will be introduced once Fantastic Four comes. Feige had these things planned before the Fox merger. Too many theories and fan wants...that's why you let them tell the stories they want to tell.

Based on trailers, it seems that Falcon and Winter Soldier will be more of traditional Marvel visuals and storytelling so I think that this automatically puts it into more advantageous position with the existing audience. WandaVision was a risky oddball and I love it.

Nope sorry sis, the magic from the Darkhold is evil. Dark magic is bad. Go back and watch Doctor strange, that was the whole thing about not studying the dark magic this is why he had an issue with the Ancient One because she used dark magic. Wanda is now the Scarlet witch and she is studying the Darkhold without a teacher. She does not realize what she has unleashed but we will find out in Doctor strange 2 Agatha is the real hero here. She's the one that got Wanda to see what she was doing was wrong. And to understand who and what she really is. Also Agatha may have had her own motives but, those motives help to free a town of over 3,000 people from being kidnapped, mind controlled and tortured by the Scarlet Witch. She's the one that got Wanda to understand that she needs to study about her powers. Wanda knows this because that's why she did not send Agatha to prison, turn her in or send her off to some distant place. She kept there where she knows she can find her because she will need her again. And one more thing when Wanda brought down the hex the ruins also came down with it which means that Agatha can free herself at any time... Don't let Agatha fool you. Because remember Agatha already told her that her mind tricks doesn't work on her they never did meaning that she wasn't controlling her even before she had her in her basement with her own ruins... Don't let Agatha fool you.

I think people were disappointed because of theories and reading too much into them. And then being let down cause their theories were wrong or didn't happen. I'll admit that WandaVisions theories and mystery was half the fun. But in no way was I disappointed. Overall I give the series as a whole a 9/10, only because it ended. ❤
