Marvel Secretly Reveals A New Avenger (Phase 4)

There were so many new and exciting plot threads at the end of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, that it’s hard to pick a favorite. John Walker is officially US Agent? Sharon Carter is the Power Broker? Bucky Barnes has to probably find a new sushi place? But something that was subtly teased throughout the show and especially in the finale might lead to the MCU’s newest Avenger. I’m talking about Elijah Bradley aka Patriot! Just who is this hero and what does his future in the MCU hold? Well that’s what we’re here today to discuss!
Isaiah Bradley’s grandson kept popping up in episodes of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and it was clear that the MCU has big things planned for the character. I mean, how could they not? In the comics, Elijah becomes the superhero known as Patriot, who is a big part of the Young Avengers squad. Is that what the MCU is leading to? Well it certainly seems like it. The ending for Falcon and the Winter Soldier put Isaiah and Elijah in a different mindset when it came to having a Black man be Captain America. Now that they’re not so hesitant, could we see a new Avenger rise up? I think it’s certainly possible! Imagine in the Captain America and the Winter Soldier season 2 a situation where Sam Wilson now trains Patriot and takes him under his literal wing to guide him, much like Steve guiding Sam all those years ago. I think that’s a great continuation of the character!

My only complaint about Sam becoming Captain America is that we didn’t get to see enough of it. His suit is amazing, I loved seeing him with the shield, and he’s stepped into the role so well. It’s almost a crime we only got a single episode of it

Its a natural progression for sam to take on the mantle , his values are very similar to Steve Rogers...its why they became such close friends in the movies...and talking about natural progression the character Shuri Should be the next Black Panther... natural bloodline...and also you can never replace Chadwick Boseman , like Robert Downey Jr is always Tony stark , Boseman will always be T'Challa.

Sam really made his mark as the new Cap! Elijah becoming a hero would be the perfect way to bring Isaiah back. We'll probably see this plot in Captain America 4 😆

Captain America is bigger than one man. Even Steve Rogers knew this, hence why he picked Sam to be the next Captain America. Rogers also knew that carrying on the legacy of Captain America is imperative for the world today. There is no way that Captain America name, image, would of been retired. CA is a symbol of hope, reason, and freedom, and seeing Sam being exactly that is a truly powerful message. Considering what the American government did to Isiah, is exactly why Sam being Captain America is necessary. Not anyone can be Captain America, Walker proved that (although he got thrown under the bus by his own government) but Sam sharing Rogers same ideology is the reason why he is. In this episode he honoured Isiah, kept his promise to Sharon and still tried to reason with Karli. He is exactly what America and the world needs. And just because he's black doesn't mean its a "sjw" or "woke" agenda. It means that Sam has earned being Captain America. And truth is, he will face bigotry and racism but he already knows this. He is going in with both eyes wide open - which means he is prepared for anything. Sam Wilson Captain America is a symbol. Not just for being a black Captain America but for being the Captain America that is needed today.

You blended two Patriot(s) in your video. The young man flying on his shield is not Elijah Bradley. He is Rayshaun Lucas. Rayshaun is mentored by Tony Stark. Stark provided him with his shield and via an AI version of the Black Widow, combat training.

I think it will follow the comics with him getting the serum from Isaiah to save his life. They put a lot of emphasis on the wrong that was done with the serum from Isaiah's blood. I Think he will pull a Steve Roger's and decide to give his grandson HIS blood not only to save his life but also to pass on his powers similar to the Shield. That way some good comes from what happened to him, and he reclaims his experiences by making that decision.

Very interesting concept🤔..if Isaiah went to fight in the Korean war in the 50s and was locked up for 30 years, that means he was let out in the 80s. They told his wife he died in action and by his own admission, she died while he was locked up. For Isaiah to be his grandson, he must've had a child before he went off to war. That child would at least be in there 60s & 70s at the current time. Eli is a teenager in the current MCU, so either the Isaiah is Eli's great grandfather or Eli's parent had him in their 50s.

We have Iron lad (the boy from iron man 3, he's even at tony's funeral), we have Cassie lang (who has been recasted as kathryn newton), Kate bishop, Wiccan and Speed, and Elijah bradley. Now we need hulkling which I assume cones with the secret invasion territory, and a new, younger, Vision
