According with the plot, this armor is based on his Lazarus Chamber, that explain his weird look, this is a sort of astronaut gear, I think Hasbro wasted the chance to make him at the 12 inchs line, probably will be the most popular figure, since one of the keys of this armor is to change his size, on looks, this MS figure is superior than the Hasbro versions, in weapons and colors, Apocalypse retro looks very bland, like Hasbro skipped the cellshaded process to cheap him, lol. On shelf this is the best Apocalypse, because he will stand out more for his size.

Great review, man. Makes the recent Marvel Legends Apocalypse look kinda bad, really. lol Seeing this much improvement in the articulation really makes me wish that Diamond Select would make a new Venom figure. Like Apocalypse, his size varies throughout the series, so he would fit in well with Marvel Legends.

In the comics could Apocalypse grow in size like in the 90s cartoon? Anyone know?

Yes ofcourse. He actually has grown in size first in the comics and it inspired the 90's cartoon and the X-men vs Street Fighter games. Look up and read X-FACTOR ENDGAME storyline. This is where Apocalypse grew to a giant size which is used by X vs SF. The story was an ultimate battle between Cyclops and Apocalypse to save his son Nathan Summers who was kidnapped by Apocalypse and later became the mutant called CABLE.

@@khamla616 yeah unfortunately in the more recent times, Marvel is screwing all our beloved characters. I really dont like whats going on in Marvel comics after 2010. I will be forever stuck in the 90s. Did you know that also Thanos can increase his size to giant size? This happened in the ultimate battle of Infinity Gauntlet when he was fighting Hulk. Its crazy, Apocalypse, Thanos, Onslaught and Galactus are basically Giants in MvC. The only Capcom characters I know that can grow into giants are Sigma and Anakaris.
