Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Bobby Carillo this one looks better, but the marvel legends has better articulation. Just depends which one you wish to sacrifice for the other. The blue is good on both. The diamond select has better blue for the current in-game Spider-Man, but marvel legends blue looks more like the E3 showcase blue.

I think that along with the recent anti-ock sh figuarts figure they might be thinking about starting a spider-man ps4 line. But a whole line of figures like is very expensive to make. Imagine how big rhino or otto’s arms would be and how much plastic it would take to make it scaled right. They also might be hesitant due to the uncertainty of if it would do well, unlike the dragonball Z line of figures. I would love ps4 line though!

@@jhw8184 I just hope we eventually get more merch. even if they made a rhino and doc ock I feel like marvel legends could do a good run making rhino a baf while giving collectors a deluxe doc ock pack with bendy wire tentacles. Hot toys is a different story, price range would most definitely would be on the steep end.

I notice that the stop motion segments are very flickery. Lock the exposure and white balance so you don't get the flickering. Also it helps to wear a black shirt so that you reflect as little light onto the figures as possible from frame to frame. Just some simple tips if you're interested.

I’m looking forward to this figure! I hadn’t purchased the previous ones, but I don’t mind this in 7” scale. I always appreciate your reviews and that you are pushing to improve your production value. I notice you are trying new lighting setups for you ACBA shots at the end of the vids. They seem a tad dark and don’t pop quite as much. Maybe a little more key light or fill light will help or an adjustment to contrast or exposure?

I have the shf one and i love it, most accurate for 1/12 scale + i don't recall mafex will make a ps 4 suit, they only produce upgraded and stealth suit spiderman from FFH.

As expected. Marvel Selects articulation is trash. I’m really bummed about the diaphragm area. Where it should have more range it’s so damn limited. The only complaint I have with the figure is the white spider on his chest isn’t game accurate. The outer lower legs are supposed to continue into the blue sections of the suit, but for whatever reason, Diamond didn’t go with. Which in its own right is odd because they (Diamond Select) says they use the in-game models to produce their products, but obviously they don’t because they always seem to get key details wrong. I’m extremely picky when it comes to details and accuracy to the source material. But I’m still excited to get this figure (probably gonna have to disinfect the package for corona, lol. (I’m in the higher risk levels)).

It sucks that there isn’t a really good 1/12 scale advanced suit figure. Hasbro is a repaint, select has bad articulation and is too big by a head, and figuarts has questionable articulation and is too short by a head.
