I knew about MARVEL reaching out to the Choctaw nation for accuracy and helping with production, but I didn't know they were going to dub it over in Choctaw as well! It's really amazing to see and should hopefully raise indigenous/native Ameicans' voices more

Worst case, even if we end up with a flawed season of television, this is a huge step in the right direction for the MCU. The tone, the cinematography, the grittiness, the more they experiment with this the more they can learn & apply what works to future projects

@@jamesstewart8376 That's not at all what's being said here. They are doing better to respect the Choctaw nation. Representation as a whole hasn't been good for the most part when telling Indigenous stories or with indigenous characters. Involving the Choctaw nation in the process of this story is such a big step from what's been shown before. It means they are at least trying to be better than they were in the past. It's a massive win for the Indigenous community as a whole, not just the Choctaw nation.

I'm seriously digging the focus on Native Americans lately in MCU. This season's of What If....? was spectacular!

Oh lovely!! I’ve fallen off from watching a lot of the newer Marvel series, but the effort they went through for representation alone here deserves some support! Hope the story is good like the Choctaw people deserve! 🙏🏻

PLEASE give us more authentic indigenous stories, especially when they are dubbed! I hope this sets a bar for indigenous representation to be built and improved upon for generations to come.

Hey, guess those writer strikes helped out afterall, this is starting to feel better, great actually, really happy they're doing this. Good work, hopefully the writing in the movies get better soon too.

It's great to see how much work Marvel put into this and how authentic they want to represent the Choctaw. I'm not one who's very passionate for representation in movies. Ultimately I just want to be entertained, but when they pay special attention to cultures like here and Muslims in Ms. Marvel, it's great to see they do their homework. I expect what's gone wrong with the MCU since the Infinity Saga (and not nearly as much as people say IMO) is slowly turning around. What If? S2 was a success. We'll see how this show is received, but at the very least the grounded mature focus plus a darker Kingpin than we got in Hawkeye are surely welcome. Marvel definitely overplayed their hand after COVID, but it's understandable since they went a year and a half without a release. Only one movie release in 2024 and a few shows should definitely ease fan fatigue. Who knows how the MV Saga will pan out with Jonathan Majors out, but I hope they recast Kang and stick with it.
