With the advent of Marvel Endgame approaching, what a fitting way to pay tribute to such an astonishing franchise. I proudly present Marvel Super Heroes: War Of The Gems reimagined as a 3D game.
*DISCLAIMER: to stay in line with the current MCU trends and to for cinematic effect, some characters and environments have been altered/redrawn.
Thanks Stan Lee, for creating all of masterful and genius work over the years. Rest In peace.

Kind of funny -- if you consider this the home port of the Marvel Super Heroes arcade game (it *sort of* was -- I think it definitely exists because of it...), that version has old-school green-idiot Drax in it for a super-short bit. After you beat the game, you see him return to normal after having been a stone statue.

It is actually possible! It would run on a 3D engine as a 2.5d side scroller and have 30fps interchanged accordingly between the 3d frames.

how do you reimagine these old sprites as 3d? I think it'd be interesting if it would be possible to make 3d models of video game characters so we could use them in like projects and stuff.

I designed the software infrastructure for this method. It's my trade secret ;) I really appreciate that people want to see the process. I've given sneak peaks of the process before, namely in the donkey Kong country intro reimagined in 3d video.

@@Bitplex if you want you could do something like the 3d sen nes emulator where the games are in 3d and have multiple layers, but obviously making a video is a lot easier than a whole emulator so it would be quite a challenge.
