It's kinda amazing how Cap has changed over the generations. He's gone from a propaganda piece for WW2 soldiers to rally behind, to a symbol of American freedom, finally to a hero of the whole world. He isn't just about American freedom anymore, he fights for everyone's rights to truth, freedom, and justice. Captain America is the hero the world deserves.

I think what makes Captain America stand out in that regard is something he said to Spider-Man in the comics that I think people has ran with, “When I call myself Captain America, I don’t stand for the American government, I stand for the people and the ideals that America says it’s supposed to stand for.” I love how Steve is, in both the MCU and in the comics, unafraid to voice his concerns even in front of his ranking government officials. Steve is what America should be, but sadly not what it is.

@@in4mus85 If you're referring to Xmen Vs Street Fighter and MSH Vs Street Fighter then yes, they were. Japanese only but came with the 4MB RAM cart that made them arcade perfect 2v2 fighters rather than the gimped 1v1 ports. Marvel Vs. Capcom went straight to Dreamcast where it again was an actual arcade perfect port rather than the gimped PS1 game. The PS1 was a great, world class machine, but it had weaknesses - mainly no dedicated 2D hardware and less RAM. Saturn could offload background layers and manipulation to its VDP2 and leave the rest of the unit to handle sprites, and with more RAM for animation it's a no brainer that these games were superior on Sega's machine.

Nostalgia is killin it right now. Gawd i remember i was 12 when this released, im 31 now. i had a copy on PS1.played that shit to death. This was a game changer for me. By far the best song too. They even used the original voices for spider man and wolverine from the fox kids cartoons. Capcom was killing it it the 90s.

Really wish/hope Infinity War movies would give a nod to some of these themes that really represented the Marvel Super Hero Franchise for quite a while. Heck, the Marvel Super Heroes fighting game is actually based on the infinity stones. It was THEEEE game to play in arcades (X-Men Children of the Atom started it, which gave rise to the tag fighting games like X-Men vs Street fighter MVC MVC2 etc...). For kids who don't know, just imagine seeing lines and lines of people waiting to get there shot at 1 v 1 with strangers. Quarters lined the screen symbolizing that you were next. It's entirely different to test your gaming skills against a stranger in real life. You had to back up your skills and there was no screen to hide behind lol. Your gaming reputation at the local arcade was made or destroyed based on how you played. Long before the gigantic blockbuster movies came out, it was the gaming industry that embraced the Comics we see today on the big screen. They both worked together. I just want to see Captain America have this song playing somewhere in the movie lol. I don't care if its a kid walking by playing a Marvel Super Heroes Emulator on his phone as a cameo. Show a little love to Capcom too. I remember when they even had the Cartoon voices of Wolverine and Spider-Man as the ACTUAL in-game voices for the Capcom fighting games. That solidified the game as Legit!
