Marvel Super Heroes - Spider-Man Playthrough

It's hard to say if this was to be expected or not, but I will say that it's about time I did something like this. Consider this an impromtu video.
With that said, I've been looking for an arcade emulator to work with so that I can finally play some arcade games, especially games that I've never had much of a chance to play for whatever reason. To get the search rolling, I'm testing a well-known emulator, MAME. I found this to be a bit complex. Then again, considering that this is a first-time scenario, it's a start.
As for the test game, I wanted to get back into this game again for some time. I'm doing just a basic Marvel Super Heroes playthrough as everyone's favorite "Wall Crawler," Spider-Man. The character pick was on a whim just to test the system. Also, since this is mostly a test, the difficulty is default as I don't know how to adjust arcade difficulty as of yet; not to mention that I may switch emulators if there's something better out there. This means don't be surprised if my opponents aren't as tough as they should be (take note near the end). Please don't ask about why I didn't use any of the Infinity Gems. I really don't care about using them, to be honest.
I may revisit this game again when I get more accustomed to its MAME's settings assuming if this becomes a more permanent emulator. I'm taking suggestions for others. Finally, for the record, this was recorded via Fraps as I'm unsure of the recording capabilities of MAME if any.
With all this said, try to enjoy for what this is: a test.

It's surprising how well this game has aged. Even without the help of Marvel vs Capcom Origins, it's still fairly addictive. The roster, the visuals, the soundtrack, everything's going for it.

Hm. I couldn't care less about doing slightly more advanced combos even if I had the ability to. All I wanted to do is play a game that I hadn't did in a long while since then simply for fun, and that's all there is to it. While I apologize for coming off as rude, that being said, if it's that kind of gameplay that you want, then you should look for better playthroughs than this one.

DId you know you can still combo after a maximum spider if you're close enough to the opponent when they touch the ground? You can score at least an extra 3 hits or send a high punch slow motion web ball to trap and re combo.

My long dead local arcade used to have this machine in 1995. I played it quite a bit and enjoyed it. The game played smoother than X-Men COTA, which I liked also. I also had this for my Sega Saturn at the time and it was pretty cool. I forget that the Sega Saturn was a 2D powerhouse and 2D games really thrived on that system.

Huh, it's actually possible to beat the game with Spiderman? 🤔 And here I thought it'd be impossible to cause damage to another character, much less beat them all in a row given how trashed he is on the "tier list". Back in 1995, competitive play in the arcade was a new thing so all the gaming mags really harped on us how we were losers if we picked Spiderman or Blackheart. Was always kind of funny to me 😆

In the last time a heard a lot of people say "we want Marvel fighting game like injustice" well before Injustice, Marvel Super Heroes exist and in 90s DC fans sayed "we want a DC fighting game like Marvel Super Heroes"... the times changes.
