Joven's right! Spiderman is not a Mutant, but a Mutate. The difference between the two is When the change occurs. Mutants are Born with their mutation locked away in their genetics, while Mutates have an incedint occur to change their genetics. Spiderman was not born with his mutation.

Jhaedi Stark I'm not trying to be anal or anything, and I'm sorry if this comes across as rude, but if you Google Mutate, Spiderman is listed under that category because he wasn't Born with the geneic mutation. That is the Key difference between the two. Just because a Mutant's mutation doesn't present at birth doesn't mean that they don't have the genetic coding for it. courtney with the haircut ooohhh (also a genetic mutation occurs at birth so no spider-man isn't a mutant also their definition of mutant is possession of the x-gene which the spider definitely didn't insert into him) edit: as some people are saying below, the marvel universe considers him a mutate, not a mutant. they had this specific debate. so that definitively solves that.

Yeah, technically speaking the x-gene wasn't pushed to activation which then leads to him not being able to be part of the x-men which is also why most of the other heros are not communicated with prof. X who knows the location of almost all mutants I believe. That's why Deadpool is a x-men because his x-gene was pushed to activation

LuxMashups that may be so but in comics and other media he is technically considered a mutant and even discriminated against as one due to a mutation which is occurring on a cellular and genetic level becoming uncontrolled at times thus he can be considered a full on mutant in the marvel universe.

Not to be nerdy, but actually, Thor does not use his hammer for transportation, AT ALL. In Nordic mythology, Thor uses a cart, a cart that flies via goats. When he gets hungry he lands the cart, eats the goats. And proceeds to resurrect them. However if the goats bones are broken during the meal or after the meal, the bone will be like that when thor resurrects them.

Spider-man is genetically mutated, although his body was not fully mutated until his mid 20s where he then turned into a spider creature. Also when Norman tried re-creating Spider-Man, the experiments immediately fully mutated, but it took spidey years cause he had a special and rare type of blood or something in his blood...so he IS a mutant just not fully “evolved”

Dear Smosh, Why hasn't Smosh Winter Games started? I have been looking forward to February because of it.. My birthday is February 17th so that is my favorite day.. But, not anymore... On January 31st I found out that my 34 year old cousin died for no reason.. It turns out that his Celebration Of Life (funeral) is on my birthday. This year I have been really counting on Smosh Winter Games to help me through this darkest year so far. Because i'm starting to enter a very deep sadness because of the death and my great-grandma. She is 96 years old and when I go to visit her she is just asleep. If she wakes up she doesn't remember us.. She has been about 41 years without her husband.. So please Smosh!
