The Eternals are coming! Eventually. Soon? Maybe. Please Stand By. But they’ll be here one day and with their arrival, the entire MCU is going to change. The Eternals are...well… Eternal and live for basically ever so their movie is going to have a lot of ground to cover. I mean most MCU movies seem to take place over the course of a few days minus some exceptions, so it’s going to be interesting to see how the Eternals cover thousands upon thousands of years in like a 2 and a half hour time frame don’t you think? But although they have a deep and rich history, there’s one part of their backstory that should absolutely be touched upon, and that’s Thanos on his home planet of Titan!
The Mad Titan was the greatest enemy the Avengers have ever faced, but there’s still so much we don’t know about him. It was revealed in that brief Red Skull scene in Infinity War that his father was A’lars, and although that may seem like a throwaway line, it actually opens the door for an Eternals connection. You see, the Eternals are the beings who created the colony on Titan in the first place, so essentially, they created Thanos. Now with a movie exploring the Eternals, we could finally see the creation of Titan and how it’s downfall led Thanos to go on his rampage. It will open up a new side to Thanos that we haven’t seen before and introduce us to the rest of his family. That’s right! Thanos has a family! I know it’s easier to think Thanos was alone his entire life, but just like everyone, he had a mom and dad, as well as a brother! So by showing us his lineage, the Eternals has a chance to reshape our whole perception of Thanos and his overall mission, which is just fascinating!

I like the concept behind your idea CBR, if the movie was setting up infinity war or end game. We as viewers already know how the story ends with Thanos so getting a movie almost focused entirely on his decent into evil would serve no purpose for the MCU other than to make money off a solo film. The narrative will involve Thanos and his origin but instead is focused on The Eternals on Earth in today's society. Making them Viable characters for the next phases of the MCU.

Well in the trailer the eternals say that bringing half of all life in the universe back cost an energy surge that woke up the deviants and it's easier to destroy than create from a science perspective so maybe Thanos as an eternal knew doubling the resources would wake them up and the only thing to do would be to wipe out half of life.

Killing Thanos in the past can't simply be done because TVA exists. Eternals not taking part on the battle when Thanos was wrecking things in the universe could be related to the story in the movie wherein they wipeout their memories after a battle in the past and there was only one Eternal who was tasked to perform the powerful ritual.

Energy can't be created or destroyed, only converted into or out of matter. So you can't just double resources in the universe, you have to manipulate it's existing matter/energy(beings, because they tend to consume) meaning he got rid of beings in they're consuming form, which freed they're material energy --hence why in the eternals it's said that the release of the energy fueled new deviants

The is a novel about thanos’s upbringing from a child all the way to the destruction of Titan. It’s a good read
