Thank you for this video. Unfortunately my string doesn’t work as stiff as this cord is. It goes up in a round and i dont know why. Particle distance 5. High stiffness. I dont know what i did wrong.

Hi, thanks for your questions. In this case you can try 2 things: - Create and assign a new fabric material to the cord and select something like "trim hardware" from the presets list. This should slightly blow up the cord and prevent it from floating around in space. - As an alternative, press Ctrl+H during simulation to strengthen the pattern. This usually also does the trick. Let me know if one of the two works.

@@3DGladiator It kinda floats still... its a shame we cant make it like really heavy

@@3n19ma thanks for your comment! I'm not up to date anymore regarding the latest MD releases and not sure if something like "solid" can be selected from the material presets by now. If not, you can still freeze the object and it gets ignored during simulation (Ctrl + K). You can still attach and knit patterns to it of course. Let me know if this works.

it is just for the view, right? It's not going all the way through the hood gj anyways
@3DGladiator
@3DGladiator 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. Yes, it's attached only as a detail and doesn't serve any purpose in this case. But it should be possible to make it go all the way through the hood and even affect the look of it by pulling on the cord.
