@@aaronwishard7093 Not really. When someone orders a package, the delivery company knows where to take it and that somebody should in theory live there to receive it. But on galactic scales of time and distance, there is just no way to know what's out there before actually going there. At least without having FTL capabilities which there is no evidence of FAR having. So FAR chose to send essentially Von Neumann probes out into the universe. Send enough such probes and random chance would lead to a second arriving at the same place sooner or later. And FAR clearly knew this could happen. That's why they had the spears and wrote the dead sea scrolls and all of that. They PLANNED for this possibility. It wasn't a clerical error, it was inevitable at some point.

You're missing something about the Rebuilds. The rebuilds are a sequel of sorts. Kaworu confirms this when you see him wake up on the Moon next to all those empty caskets. Those were his past lives where he met Shinji and in the end Shinji made a choice which ended up leading them down a similar path. This why at the end of the Rebuilds you see scenes from the Neon Genesis Evangelion some of use are familiar with

This is the biggest issue I see with most people who don't quite grasp that concept that they are sequels. At least in some sense. Once you look at it from the perspective of it being a loop then the pieces start to fall in place and the lore starts making more sense. To me, this whole series is about breaking cycles and gaining some sense of purpose in a world that you feel isolated, neglected, and used. I'm glad there are those who understand this concept!

Specifically the issue with multiple seeds was if they were one black and one white, black moons contain the seed of the tree of knowledge and white the seed of life, specifically the intent was to avoid infinite power (soulless immortals brought by the white moon) and independent thought (individual thought from the black moon), from rejoining, as this is what led to the FAR being brought to their knees in the first place.

Could you explain this a bit more? I'm not doubting you; I just want your take. How could beings like the FAR encounter an obstacle they couldn't overcome if they were so powerful? An IRL analogy would be climate change; we could have addressed and solved it decades ago but greed will be our downfall. So I get the concept of 'despite x level of power and intelligence y race still fell'. But what was the extinction level event the FAR faced and couldn't overcome? Best I could think of is in that universe once one reaches x level of cognitive potential it creates like a black hole effect on the astral plane or someting. The white EVA that looks like Unit 01 is actually Unit 13, they are not the same EVA. Interesting fact: 14:29 EVA 01 has spread 12 wings on that scene, which represents the giant judaic angel Samael, who is said to have 12 wings, the only angel with a number of wings above the Seraphim's 6 wings. Add to that the fact that those wings were 4 when EVA 01 starts to levitate and you have another religious reference, now 4 wings to represent a Cherubim, which are said to have 4 wings, 4 heads (3 animal heads and 1 human) and were guarding the limits of the Garden of Eden. Also, some people theorize that Satan was a Cherubim, since those were the only types of angels on the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve were there. Also, this whole ocean of blood is a reference to both the biblical Great Flood and the nordic Ragnarok, as the ocean of blood on the Ragnarok comes from the killed giants and the biblical Great Flood was supposed to end the life of all Nephilims, which were giants. The 4 weird EVAs with an X on their masks, in Evangelion Rebuild 4th and last movie, are both supposed to represent the 4 horsemen of the Apocalipse and the 4 archangels that were sent by God to erase the giants (Nephilim) from the face of the Earth during the Great Flood.

I believe that the Lilith's mask is a natural part of it, since the cratering is reminiscent of the moon, which is synonymized with Rei, and creates a symbolic tie between them. I don't think that the mask mirroring Seele's logo necessarily means the mask is of their creation. It's just as possible that they created their logo to mirror Lilith's mask.

Adam doesn't matter. the humans doesn't matter. the lore doesn't matter. what people do, what they want, their dreams, what makes them happy, what makes them sad, all of that is secondary. the angels are secondary. all that matters are the Evangelion units. this is why the anime is called "Evangelion". the robot is essential, the rest isn't. all i need is a unit to complete the mission. people focus too much on feelings and doubts, those are just distractions. a soldier needs none of those. this is why Amuro is remembered as a legend and Shinji as "The guy that needs to get to the robot".

Even Asuka's German is butchered and she's supposed to be a native speaker. But seeing as terms are pronounced differently in the Japanese and English dubs + as you said, some words are German in origin yet aren't pronounced the same way in both English or Japanese voicings in the anime, it is true that it probably doesn't really matter much. But, I just think there's a minimum threshold for any other media where even a simple search was done for how terms might be pronounced. For the most part, like with the bakelite example, it seemed as if the narrator had been given no guide at all (which would be unfortunate given how nice the rest of the video has been). But yeah, I can't say for certain, and with NGE and its terminologies it doesn't really matter much like you implied. At least we still understand what they mean, to be fair.

That was the whole point. That individuality causes war, pain, disagreement, and loneliness. Instrumentality would take away all that. But would also take away the very individuality and connection that makes a person matter anyways. Most people who aren't very well adjusted only see the negative aspects of what humanity is and does...and they refuse to perceive the beauty in humanity. Death, war, destruction, and evil will always exist not matter what you want or what you strive for. There will always be people who are willing to hurt others for power and their own selfish wants. Everything you have experienced and the world as you know it is malleable and transient. But in the end it doesnt matter. Humanity will continue, they will move on, and they will advance regardless of those setbacks and how people choose to perceive it. There is plenty of beauty to be found if you stop focusing on all of the bad.

The myth of lilith is just a combination of similar named entities. Lilith is an invention of modern times. She's as biblical as Santa. The only mention of lilith is as LILITHS plural.
