T man well they for some (bad) reason didn't have him able to speak it in the movies. Which really doesn't make sense with the original timeline because they showed him going to japan at the end of xmen origins and in the beginning of the movie. So he should still be fluent.

The stuff Yukio says at the beginning (the Japanese equivalent of "Like OMG, Mariko, we have sooo much to talk about! Let's party, Logan! LOL") and what Mariko says at the end ("Let me go! What are you doing?) were probably the only scripted Japanese bits... and "SENCHINERU!" The stuff in the middle, while real Japanese, is probably just the voice actress just babbling about random crap. "The sunlight's gonna be strong this summer, so we gotta buy lots of suntan lotion, umbrellas, gloves..."
