Vampire Hunter D has always been my favorite among anime, both the 1980s and 2000 movies. Along with Ninja Scrolls and Akira. I just love the fact that none of the adult characters look like small children. The women and men look like women and men. Those anime takes you to another time and place, yet provides a hint of Japanese mythology mixed in with European mythology. Meanwhile, lately many of the current anime seem to be about exploitation and sexualizing children, which are disgusting. 😑It would be nice to see more anime in the style that Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was made in. That looks so nice and stylized.

Actually 🤓☝️, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was based not on a manga but on a novel called "Demon Deathchase" by Kikuchi . The first Vampire Hunter D film was also based on a novel (of the same title) by Kikuchi. There are many other D novels, including a spin-off called "The Noble Greylancer". I recommend them as well as A Wind Named Amnesia (also by Hideyuki Kikuchi). Yes, there is a D manga, which was started in 2007, while Demon Deathchase was originally released in 1985 (2006 in English), & the film "Bloodlust" was released in 2000. Vampire Hunter D is one of those rare instances where the anime was based on a novel, not a manga 😉. Sorry, but that erroneous bit of trivia irked me. Otherwise, I enjoyed this vid 👍

This is false. The point of the series is to educate the reader on insects, which is a subject the creator is very passionate about. The vast majority of their manga are bug Manga that get very little exposure. To that end, the sexual scenes were added in so that people would actually read them. That's why there's so much more focus on the bugs than the actual sex scenes.

Hi, just some suggestions 1. Make timestamps and give the titles so it is easier for us to follow 2. Have links to where we could watch these videos, it could be your source of revenue as well. Thanks

I miss the old school anime, there was less gore but it was exponentially more detailed gore which is totally worth the trade off

Correction, vampire hunter d bloodlust isn't based on a manga. It's base on a light novel series. Specifically the third book in the series. There is a manga adaptation of the novels but those came much much later, after the anime was made.

How about 1985 animated movie? Does it follow manga?
@soulfire690611 ай бұрын
@@boboboy8189 That one is based on the first light novel. It's quite close in adaptation from what I can remember. It's been ages since I watched that film or read the novel.

I seem to recall several different animated versions of KITE, some more explicit than others. Also, something about the animation of Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust reminds me of my favorite anime movie, Ninja Scroll.

"when they cry" is a anime.about a group of kids playing a game. The story always resets. End of first season listen to conversation at end. He says ahh I lost again. Also each character has specific things. One girl the cleaver, he has the bat, another is trap master. It's kinda like the kids are playing a gruesome game of clue. Their characters have to kill the guys character.

Thing is there's so many resets lol and those 2 new seasons we got this year
