Im from Chicago and a bulls fan and I think Bagley was the potential to be a athletic Chris bosh. He can beat other bigs off the dribble and has a decent shooting touch.

His defensive improvements will come with more time on the court. The more he plays = the more experience he’ll get with defensive sets and playing defense. His injuries (mostly freak injuries) hampered his ability to get more experience on the court. If he stays healthy this season, I think we’ll see the true MB3.

Whut? He's a great outside shooter. Look at his numbers? Bagley just needs to stay healthy, learn how to play defense, pass the ball and play more than 20min a game. That's everything he needs to learn. Oh yeah, and to speak for himself.

Hel be a perennial all star by the time hes 25 The kings ALMOST ruined him but bagley is too talented even for BASKETBALL HELL to ruin his career Within like 10 games of bagley playing for whatever team he goes to, because HE WILL BE LEAVING SACRAMENTO AKA BASKETBALL HELL THE VERY SEEEECOND HE GETS THE CHANCE... But anyways, within a couple weeks of bagley playing for his new team everybody will realize EXACTLY how bad Sacramento is as an organization ESPECIALLY at developing players Bagley averages 22 and 11 per 36 but the kings have been trying to make the 8th seed lmao since his rookie year so instead of letting him play 30+ minutes a game to learn ESPECIALLY ON DEFENSE they have him only playing like 23 minutes a game Sacramento is a joke Its where talent goes to die

Good players play well in Sac. The issue is Kings can never accumulate enough good players. Mainly because they draft a lot of shitty busts like Jimmer, Robinson, Stauskas, Bagley, McLemore, etc. Also because top free agents don't even look at small markets. But I can't stress enough that it isn't a developmental thing. All their busts lack one or more of athleticism, intelligence or skill. Ben is the only one who became passable on both sides of the ball...and that was only to a rotational level. But IT, Reke, Cousins, Gay, Fox, Haliburton, Barnes, Holmes, Hield, and Bogdan have all had really good seasons. Role players like Bazemore, Bjelica, Shumpert, Davis, Wright, Len, Koufos, and Collison have all had strong impacts. Bagley is just ass.

@@jamesgraham2192 Bogi got the same minutes in Sac & Atl. Dude been trending up, and then was able to play on a much more talented team. Marv--with the same minutes--hasn't trended up at all, and his defense has actually gotten worse. Bogi played well in Sac. Well enough to warrant $18m from a contender, which aligns fairly with his production in Atl. Nobody would throw that kind of money at Bagley after his 3rd year. All I've said is facts, but I don't know basketball? You spewed bullshit about talent dying in Sac, then went to some hypothetical shit about a future that hasn't happened yet. All those guys were off the Kings before their rookie contract expired. Still young, still didn't amount to shit in the league. Marv has no IQ. Hasn't improved as a passer or defensively through 3 years. He either doesn't study, cannot retain information, or struggles to apply it. He hasn't gotten stronger at all. And the easiest part of personal development is getting stronger...it's literally just diet & weight room. If a professional athlete hasn't gained strength over 3 years--dude clearly isn't focused or committed. The most important thing Marv lacks is self awareness. Real ones don't blame others or situations...he makes millions to hoop. Dude has every resource, and all his time available to get better at it. Yet he's the same rookie + a corner 3, and less physical on defense. He will not improve until he has a better grasp on what his game actually is right now.

@@jamesgraham2192 "just play him 36 minutes a night and give him the ball." Yeah bro, we'd love to do that. If he didn't get hurt playing extended minutes. If his turnover rate didn't double his assist rate. If he was more than a witness on defense. Fox started off the bench, played limited minutes as a rook. By year 2 he was a positive player. Same coaches, same systems. The present which had Kuzma looking like a future all-star. I get that bigs develop slow, but 25 minutes a night and 3 offseasons? Still a negative player? C'mon. That isn't all on the Kings.
