He is killing the morale in the stores. He isnt focusing on associates any longer. He is flushing his biggest assets.

Lowe's is charging my father $1500 to install a $600 water heater. NEVER shop at Lowe's.

Is there any "other work" being done to ensure that install? I was only charged $918 to install a $589 water heater and I had to change the opening to mine. I just let them charge me for the labor and I supplied the material.

@@melokulelekankumalo3402 It's called the, "DC Metro," mark-up. I was going to Sears, but the Old Man said just pay them. We did. THEY STILL HAVEN'T DONE THE WORK! To add insult to injury? A girl called yesterday to say the water heater is late! It won't get to the store until Friday...MAYBE. I think the horse pulling the wagon threw a shoe. OH, and they have to pull a permit. Mind you, THESE DAYS, you have to pull a permit to put a toilet in your own house!

@@lawrencehawkins7198 That is just "Krazee!" I hope the store can compensate you for your inconvenience. If you haven't already, contact the corporate office and voice your concern, I'm nearly certain that something will be offered in the way of compensation.

Excellent insight to Mr. Ellison. I like what he stands for. I hope he can drive that message to the to the store level.

The only message he has sent to employees is he doesn't care. But want positive feedback from customer. If he would stop cutting hours and let the stores hire people they need the customer service would be there.

@@brianeubanks5164 The sheep are easily fooled. This guy helped run JC Penny to the ground and the same will happen to Lowes eventually under his leadership. His only credentials are his "diversity".....lol

@@Gman539 If you actually listened to the video, you would understand under his leadership, he changed JC Penny around when he was in as CEO starting out at JC Penny. The company was at a negative $-5.50 threshold in stocks, and as he got out as CEO, he turned the company into a positive threshold in the company for revenue for cash flow. The same thing with how he's CEO for Lowes now, he is changing it around via the technology field seeing how we are behind in that area compared to other home improvement stores, as he's expanding the technology impact by 10% roughly over the next couple of years so it can be an efficient exchange between customers and associates because the majority of the technology is behind the scenes.

@@AustinHicks0301 The below is from a yahoo finance article dated 5-22-18 right after Ellison anounced his departure: "The stocks of large, traditional retailers have been in decline for over two years. Almost none have fallen as hard as J.C. Penney Co. Inc. (JCP) with its share price off 70% to $2.37. CEO Marvin Ellison has had his job since August 2015. If the board does not replace him with someone in which investors have more confidence, Penney shares will continue to march toward $1." Ellison joined Penney in October 2014 as CEO-designee and succeeded Mike Ullman as CEO in August 2015. In August 2015 JCP stock price was between $8 and 9$ that month. I would call Ellison a diversity hire failure. Have any facts to refute me? You can't even argue your turnaround narrative that Ellison started as the stock went bankrupt two years after he left. Ellison was just a rat jumping a sinking ship

@@Gman539 My other reply got deleted, so I am going to try and summarize what I had said, with ellison working at JC Penny he did get to the amount of roughly positive .33 cents in stocks from the company, although someone will also take blame for mistakes within companies and often not they will blame whoever, I am not so sure how the company is doing nowadays I just know what he did to that company, seeing as he said in the interview he learned from other CEO's to manage and understand how brick and mortar hardware stores are run, and how his family growing up, shopped at JC Penny all the time, but him being CEO for 3 years was fast and unexpected, although him changing the scene around for Lowes and Home Depot such as the lack of technology that we have now as I had said above is how far we will go roughly in the next couple of years and I think that seeing how the systems and online management of geneis and other software is outdated, I feel updating the systems as he had said he was doing and he is doing now will be easier for us since I am a order fulfilment associate for Lowes. Not trying to argue with you about how he is as a CEO just what he is doing now, but we all have our own opinions.
