I get true friendship vibes. Like, he loved her like a sister/friend in real life, but they have to put on an act. Those that have truly been in love feel and know the difference between loving someone and being IN love with someone. They're barely gazing in each other's eyes. So what about their body chemistry screams being IN love other than the act of selling the song? There is no sexual energy. I guess they did their job and sold some people 🤷🏽♀️. That's what they were supposed to do. Truth is, this man was married and contrary to some beliefs, in spite of their problems, loved his wife, Anna.
@monilaninetynine38119 ай бұрын
They weren't each other's type. Marvin was a very, very honest person. If Tammi was his woman, he would have told us. The reason they were so close is because there were no romantic pressures. The fact that so many folks are convinced that they were more than good friends proves that they really sold it and y'all bought it.

I love them both dearly - depressing to think about there fates - but you have to smile when they perform together - totally angelic.

Mrs Melissa ward here. In my humble opinion. TAMMI Terrell was the queen of every kind of cool. Her so untimely passing was a hard hit to take,as I loved her,and her and Marvin.

Wow, Tammi Terrel and Marvin Gaye are the best and the biggest duets on Motown because their voices are so amazing together.

…..and all they had to do was simply stand there... and SING! Absolutely love it! At :40 she touches his cheek and her moves and facial expressions thereafter are priceless. Signature Miss Tammi Terrell! I can ONLY imagine what it must have been to see these wonderful artists in a live performance.

They do this cute little head nudge and laugh at each other at 2:00. Omg you can see the love the friendship and the chemistry they had. Marvin came alive around her and i truly believed he loved her. But they both were in relationships specifically him with berry gordy sister. I dont think he wanted to risk ruining her career at motown so he kept the feelings at bay. I think she saw him as a friend But there was definately love there what kind doesnt matter; its there. And when she died they said nobody could console him. He loved this woman

There will never be another Marvin and Tammi!! They epitomized the words class, elegance, professionalism and love. When they were singing, they were truly singing to and abut each other. They had a special kind of love in which real friendships are made of. R.I.H. my favorite Motown artists!!!
