Dave Green's masterful bass playing sets this up beautifully

I am honoured to say that I had the task of putting this band together and organising the tour that resulted in this album. I even had to reschedule the tour to fit in the extra date where the band was recorded. It was a really great Anglo-American collaboration. Don Weller and Hannibal, who had both worked in Gil Evans’ Band earlier that year, got on like a house on fire. As I recall it was a very happy collaboration. I saw them on tour maybe only once at a Cellar Bar in Nottingham where they raised the roof. Great to hear this again. And what a great bass riff!

This long piece I saw on C4 TV in their early days . I don't think this version from the disc is the same. I would like to discover the TV recording again .
