Red Hot Chili Peppers perform live at Reading Festival 2016 broadcast by BBC on 27 August 2016 at Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, England. The members were Anthony Kiedis on vocals, Flea on bass and vocals, Chad Smith on drums and percussion and Josh Klinghoffer on guitar and vocals. Long time fan here, since the 90's. But the outro from "Goodbye Angels" live is one of the most powerful moments in their entire catalogue. Massive energy. Great concert! Thanks to Josh Klinghoffer for being himself and helped to keep the band alive for ten more years. John is back now and they seems happy together again. The world will need RHCP happiness and chemistry after all this pandemic. Peace and love!

I must give props to josh. He improved a lot and now you can actually hear his guitar. I love the solos he played here. Did not think i would ever say that because i was always really critical of him. I would LOVE to see a live performance of them now. The band seems to really enjoy playing together now. John is on another level for me but they have completely different styles and sounds, and you just gotta respect josh.

4:37 The way Josh did the backing vocals using the melodies of the Can't Stop chord progression (Em, D, Bm, C) is so genious of him. I'd do the same thing on his place. I'm a guitar player myself, and as each day passes, I feel like I'm his brother of soul. The energy he likes to bring in the shows and records, the way he approaches with fidelity each song he is playing, cover or original, that's something I agree on the dude, and I can't find on any of the gigs that Frusciante did in the last 5 years.

About can't stop and all the other songs, of course there is a diferrence. They are different. They play it different. Their voices are different. Sometimes replacements improves a band, like Frusciante after the sad lost of Hilel. I've told that Josh is a great performer. But i can explain it like a pizza... John F. was the cheese. Even thoug you replace one ingredient with other good one, it will never taste like pizza. In a good pizza in my opininion... there has to be cheese. Sorry if offended anyone but i still think it was much better the band before. Just look at numbers: sales, views. RHCP wih Frusciante's period is the most liked and successful one... without his horrible addiction episode.

That is something i have not could achieve. The Getaway has some great songs but i don't find it really fantastic. I had that feeling with I'm with you. Despite everybody say some bad things about it i really enjoy a lot of songs of that album. Something that does not happen with The Getaway... i' m gonna try to listen it more to see if i find that feeling....

I think it might have been the actual lyric, but they changed it because it wouldnt be played on the radio perhaps? That's what Sytem of a Down did with their song Chop-Suey, which was called "Suicide" as a working title

Now THAT'S crowd interaction! Brings me way way WAY back to when I saw RHCP at the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans in 1992 on their Lollapalooza tour just inches from realeasing their Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magik album. What a time that was. Great to see their longevity spanning generations. Good to see a FUN band playing great music and not taking themselves too seriously!
