Camryn has tapped into the DOLL aesthetic and now it’s a wrap. She and her crab sis are a great duo. 17 has had my heart since last year, they never even looked like crabs. (And they’re DROP dead gorgeous!) The 16 vets are killing it. My favs Taneria and Micah are giving me LIFE. Every time Taneria throws that leg up I feel like I need to stretch. 😂Taylor is so pretty and graceful. Overall, the team looks good.

TeeJack Ok I respect that. And let's not forget that Jordan during the spring season showed the potential to meet that bar and who knows if she would have exceeded it. I'm sorry that we are back to the bland years of dolls again. The excitement just from the sequences of marching in gave so much life and the unexpected moves were awesome. Now I feel like it is status quo again. There is no need to save anything. You have to come out the gate swinging. Your audience is always captured in the first scene. By the midway, they are sleep if you haven't showed up and I'm already sleep.

will I ever agree with Gabby being appointed captain over the entire ‘15? NO, that will always be shady and a slap in the face to those MORE than capable and dedicated three young women BUT I must say with each game Gabrielle is coming into her own. I’m very interested to see what she will serve against the HBCU’s because baby they are not playing this year. It's not that Gabby lacks the skill. It's not that she lacks the style. Or lacks the grace. It's just that she doesn't possess that HOLY DOLL FIRE that few are blessed to embody. Gabby is no different than she has ever been but now that she is out front it is more obvious that the fire is not there. God bless her because it's tough to be out front. At least we witnessed that Jordan had this holy doll fire and was going to continue what Kayla initiated and what Danielle elevated. I feel like that era won't re-appear for a while, not because these girls lack talent but because it's a combination of skill, will and passion/energy and somebody has to bring it to feed others. And I just don't see those dynamics present or the potential for it right now. Maybe '17 can bring it back? The humble ones, with deep character that truly know themselves, really do shine the best as doll captains.
