This song really blessed me through some of the hardest times of my life. I was with my mother as she took her last breath here on this earth last year December 4, 2020. My mom loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she loved her children. Me and my mom were listening to this song when she went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Nine days later December 13, 2020 my father went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Losing both of my parents in that short period of time shook me to my core. That was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through in my 58 years of life. All I can say is “ But God” . He kept me. This is one of my favorite gospel songs, I started going back to Church after I lost my wife. It was like getting sucker punched when I found out that she passed. I had to seek a higher power. This song really helped me out. I was going through a lot. I had to care for my wife when she had multiple sclerosis, she passed away at the age of 46, she and I had been married for almost 30 years. I stayed drunk for about two or three months after she passed. I knew I had to do better so I got back into Church. I'm not perfect but I have started praying a little more because I know that one day I will be judged.

I use to sing this song when I was in the military evertime I would walk into the dining facility I would start singing out loud and the dining facility staff would start singing along with me and before you know it majority of the people in there would be singing along with us. I do love singing and giving God the praise wherever I go. There is a saying " No one knows your/my story " this is s a true statement for I am truly blessed and grateful for my trials and tribulations because God brought me this for and he is not through with me yet. While taking music appreciation in college I had to pick an artist to write about and Pastor Marvin Sapp was my choice because of my life story. When I retired from the military my wife had this song " I Never Would Have Made It " playing soon as I came in to my surprise retirement party and it brought tears to my eyes because it truly was a surprise and I never expected it. I could go on and on but I am going to let it end here. When l first heard this p had lost my left leg above the knee& had coded on the operating table I was hit in my driveway by a teen high on street drug water (kids were dipping their weed/cigarettes in embalming fluid)also know as PCP l was walking to my car to read a book by Bob Sorge The Fire of Delayed Prayers From God l had just had an over the phone interview accepted a job & was going to move to Mansfield Ohio then a simple walk to the car cost me a severed femoral artery, every nerve in my left leg was severed, compound bone fractures the bones came through my leggings my knee was like a pancake Today February 15th I could have been 13 yrz 2 months & 9 days in a watery grave 3 of my children could have been Mother& Fatherless my youngest was only a year old Josiah would have had no memory of me But God All I can say is But God said “Not so you shall LIVE & NOT Die”!!! After losing my leg gave birth to a Babygirl @age 47 God has since given me 5 grandsons God has jokes because lm always busy chasing my children who are athletes & academic scholars too Lacrosse,Football, Basketball,Cheer Track&Field among other community involvements So l can truly say “I NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT GOD” This song has become my PERSONAL TESTIMONY Living this life w/one limb is NOT EZ EVERYTHING MANY TAKE FOR GRANTED TAKES TEICE AS MUCH EFFORT FOR ME TO ACHIEVE BUT I WILL SAY God’s Favor has always been life!!! Never would have made it without You God ❤. I almost didn't get my medication on the 31st May 2024. Thank God for believing in me when everyone thought I'm hallucinating. Before the day ended, around 17h00 then i received a call from my pharmacist approving and confirming that I deserved to get my medication. It was very hard and painful for me knowing that that medication does so much difference in my health. I remained calm, humbled while crying from the inside. Before knock off, i received that call, i immediately bust into tears. I was already thinking of the worst. Even asking God to take me. It's very painful to tell the truth and wanting to save my own health with what I'm deserved to get monthly but being denied really cracked me apart. Thank you God for still seeing & believing that my mind is still functioning properly and actively so. Thanks to ausi Getty for saving my health. You really don't know what it meant for me. I'm humbled 😢 and greatful. Today i woke with more hope to continue being a living testimony. What an experience i had. God, You reign 🙏 🙌 and still seat 💺 on the throne.
