That Paul Willis section is really good and is something I experienced myself in secondary school. Another fantastic thinker on this subject is Ivan Illich and his book Deschooling Society.

nah im pretty sure when Karl Marx was starting this entire theory when the Soviet Union were on the brink of collapse. Keep in mind I could be wrong as I'm typing this at 2:40am.

Really good breakdown. I find the term `brain wash’ an unusual one to use however and it makes things seem malevolent when I’m not sure if that is the message you are trying to get across. Surely `conditioned’ or some similar term could be better used.
