I'm horrified by it when I read or hear something like this. And I'm white. I Cannot imagine what I'd feel if my ancestors just a few generations back were treated that way. I found out a few weeks back my great great grandfather fought in the Civil War. Oh I was worried at first then I read he fought on the union side so I can be proud of that❤️

Unlike the others-im glad this young lady had the chance to fight back. it really makes me think of how crazy it would been to be born right before the civil.

Just listening to this…Wow. I’m lost for words, truly. It’s heartbreaking just listening to her words (I’m sitting here in tears). My people have endured soooo much. I’m saying about a million prayers right now for all those innocent souls that never made it and for those that did, for their endurance. If it wasn’t for their endurance none of us who’s ancestors were slaves and made it through, would exist. I thank them from my core, eternally 🕯️ 💁🏾‍♀️✌🏾❤️📿🇬🇧

Mary's journey to find and see her mama again. During tthat time as a free slave. Mary felt compelled this trip was worth taking. No matter how long it took. Mary also adjusted into life -changing experiences. Until she reached her destination and started a new freedom life style for better days to come. I am sure the situation was fearful. But Mary pushed through, conquered and triumped in the end. Because of her faith in the Lord. Wherefore Mary achieved her ultimate goals safely. .

I'm not even 2 and a half minutes in and I have to pause the video to take deep breaths. I feel like crying hearing what some people had no choice but to endure. On the upside, it motivates me to push through challenges because at least I am not someone's slave. I'm so heartbroken for those people though; who whips a baby to death????😱😭😭😭

For me, also, I’m glad that this lady was able to fight back. It’s interesting after listening to these that it seems like folks tried to keep slavery open like some hidden secret.

All the world have to know these horrendous acts. Crimes against babies and woman were normal as rape. This is a insult and a desecration to the name of God. African babies and orphanages should be sponsored and compensated.
