Listening to Shooter get choked up talking about watching people go through addiction was...god it just shows how much he's gone through with Steel. Those were the tears of a guy who has almost lost a friend to addiction. Shooter and Steel are a lovely example of friendship.

Steel! I love how raw you always are on here. I appreciate you sharing your journey with us time and time again. Addiction is a big public health issue and the more people learn about it, the more awareness there will be. The episode with Mary and her son was amazing. I’ve never seen Mary be like that and it really changed my mind about her. She’s a great mother.

That was so real. My husband and I just had this real experience with our youngest son. He is sober now (465 days!) but it's so raw, real, and not a "Brady Bunch" gee golly shucks moment. Someday I can watch without tears😢 but for now ......

Stay close so you can be there for him to avoid relapsing. It’s very much a part of most people’s journey, depending on the drug I guess. Been in your shoes with my younger brother. It’s heartbreaking, but so rewarding when they come back to you. ❤❤❤

Thank you Steel and Shooter for expressing your feelings and your struggles, it’s not easy being so raw to the world. You will always have the support of all of us. I’m also so appreciative of Mary and Robert Jr for being so open about something so personal. It was the most honest thing I’ve ever seen on television.

Mary was awesome with Robert. She didn’t over react or judge him. She just listened and explained he’s the one who needs to want to change. Hearing him say he didn’t take his life because he couldn’t hurt her. Their love for each other is very deep and real. Heart wrenching. I bawled my eyes out ETA Thanks for opening up Steel. You are helping people too ❤❤❤

Well now I'm crying again. I think it was very brave of Mary and her son to talk so freely about it. Shows what a great relationship they have for him to tell her the truth. I watched my sister go through addiction and now i have seen her sober for last 26 years and she is doing amazing. Your all passion in this episode was amazing.

Steel…..Your vulnerability is your biggest strength…..that’s what gave you the courage and strength to battle your own demons. Thank you for commenting on this and being so honest. That scene easily was the most gutting scene I’ve seen on any housewives show.

I also sobbed during Mary and RJ convo. Seeing this conversation was so powerful. As a mom, I see it on Mary's pov. As a recovering addict from opiates, clean since 2010, I see RJ's pov. Sending so much love and good energy to them.

Originally I had mixed feelings about the Mary and Robert scene because although it was powerful and moving I wasn’t sure if Robert was in a position to give informed consent to film such a vulnerable moment. I was worried it could be exploitative. However hearing Steel’s perspective has made me believe the scene needed to be aired and I hope it helps a lot of people, Mary and Robert were incredibly brave for sharing this on camera Also I like Bronwyn but her thrist to be heathers friend is cringe especially when she punishes Brittani for much less. It’s definitely because heather is an OG

I think Todd told Bronwyn “don’t say that” because she said the c-word at the dinner table. I think it’s more about him not wanting her to come off in a way that seems disrespectful and they’re guests in someone else’s home. Also you know Bronwyn said something about Heather talking about them not having a prenup and he tossed the NSA background check on Bronwyn to maybe let Heather know that has not as stupid as she thinks. The scene with Mary and Robert Jr was a scene that was powerful and I think could help people talk to their loved ones about addiction without judgement. Thank you to both of them sharing something that is private so open because can only help others

Honestly, these days I think it's smart to run a background check. You need to protect yourself and there are so many manipulators out there. If you have nothing to hide, you should'nt be worried. People have to realize marriage is a business deal as much as it is union between people who love eachother.

What do you guys think about Jill Zarin’s daughter, Ally Shapiro, slamming ‘RHOSLC’ for using Mary Cosby’s son’s addiction issues as a ‘storyline’: She said it was not ok. I completely disagree. I agree with you 2, it was so powerful and it may help many other people.

Pooper is wrong. Like was said Mer was always on Mary's side. So Mary was looking at Mer at the time maybe because that was Mary thought 🤔 was a safe place to look. But yes both lady's got told if you can't stop 🛑 leave. You guy's are doing a great job.

I think there is some underlying abuse, neglect or trauma in Mary's family unit and her son's addiction is a reflection of what's sick in their family unit. Abuse does not negate the fact Robert Junior needs to fight and get help for himself but we need to keep space for what we don't know about what happened in Mary's house (married to her Grand Father or whatever) I speak from experience. PS: we love you Steel.

I love this podcast, I swear you guys be crackin me up! But, I just wanted to specify, Xanax is a benzodiazepine which is the class of drugs that includes Valium, Klonipin, and Ativa, for example. They're commonly used to treat anxiety, panic disorders, and seizures, among other things. I think people often combine benzos with opioids and it can definitely be a deadly combination. Matter of fact, Robert Jr mentioned taking the Xanax with 10 oxys. That is soooooo scary. The first time I watched it, I thought I was being strong, but I literally BURST into tears by the end of it. It was so powerful.
