As a consummate Delany fan, and author of The Paper Garden: Mrs. Delany Begins Her Life's Work at 72, I am thrilled that you posted this video., Micahela Schmid. I just happened to have discovered it. THANK YOU!

Thanks so much for posting this, it's sounds like Mary Delany's intellect was as sharp as her scissors! And thanks also for that fabulous link to the British Museum website.

Thank you for making this video! I adore The Paper Garden, the only one of my books I will never loan to friends. What a life, what a gift she left us with.

Excellent video, I first became aware of Mary Delaney as I live near the ruins of Hollymount House where she spent her Summers with her husband Patrick Delaney.

I'm so glad I stumbled across your wonderful video - Mrs. D is an inspiration to me, thanks to my discovery of Molly Peacock's fabulous book more than a decade ago.

Hello Ms. Schmid, I read an article on Ms. Delany and also your video popped up in the search. Very interesting I want to know if there is a book with all her collages. Would love to buy one and cherish it.

A film about her would be so good! She should be much more famous than she is. :)

Chigiri-e existed before Mary ever created her flowers. I often wonder, with her ability to meet those who may have such knowledge of this artform that originated in Japan, if she was aware or influenced by it.

Yes. I loved this so much! I had never heard of her before, and I think she is fabulous. When you mentioned the Blue Stockings, I decided I'd have to find out more! Thank you! Also, I loved your collage!

Hi Michaela, thank you for this video. It's great to get to know Mary's work 😊💕 Which of the 3 books that you presented you would recommend in order to visualize Mary's beautiful illustrations?

To look at her work the best place is probably the British Museum website. They have good quality scans that you can zoom in pretty close. I don’t know if KZbin allows links in comments, so I’ll post the link in another comment here. If you don’t see it, KZbin blocked it, but you can go on the British museum website and search for Mary Delany and find her that way
