Yes It did!!! I miss those days so much!! Those were the best days!! The 80s and 90s, were everything!! We had the best of everything back than!nmsn, when I tell you, just listening to all the old greats , just makes me want to cry, and beg God, to give us days like that again!! We didn’t have nothing going on, like we got going on today!! After my grandmother passed a few years ago, I find myself going back to those days, cause I had her still and life was good!! And we still had our greats here too, Michael, Whitney, Prince, omg we will never have days like that ever again!!

My wife and I listened to this song REPEATEDLY when we first started our relationship before getting married. We've been married now over 25yrs, and this song by Mary STILL takes me back to those times we used to chill in Staten island at fam house, coming all the way from Brooklyn to Manhattan hopping on the ferry and shit.... beautiful times with wifey, not alot of money back then, but we were STILL happy. This song brings back all those memories and feelings. Peace to Kenny Greene who wrote this song, and peace to Mary J. Blige for singing it. Music has power.

Off of work late...need a drink so walk to the closest bar joint. Its just about closed but I need to relax. Walk in and see this pretty lady singing...remind you its empty so who is she singing to on the rainy night?

Back in the day in a smokey filled club, drink on one hand, other hand in the air, eyes shut, bopping your head to this groove.

Yes 90’s music r&b and rap was legendary!! I was born in 1979 so I remember and heard all of the greats in the 1990’s!! It’s a shame because I don’t think rap and r&b music will ever sound good again like it did in the 90’s

Of course. She was influenced by her and discovered after singing Caught Up in the Rapture at a mall karaoke. I love the funny body/shoulder movements she does at the end. Just like Anita did in the Sweet Love video.
