I'm glad she mentioned that we shouldn't be making another person our everything. The closest people in our lives have the most power to hurt us. People tend to get comfortable thinking we're going to put up with anything just to not be out there on our own. I'm glad I've made my peace with being my independent happy self. THIS has got to be one of the most real interviews I've ever seen. It's why Mary J. Blige is loved SO much. I had a very similar experience with the demise of my marriage. Sometimes you get blindsided by someone you thought was capable of loving just as much as you are willing to but it doesn't turn out that way. The worst part is the games that are played. If that is the life you chose, don't drag the other person around in your mess. Be real. Be authentic and move on. Mary is indeed strong and it SUCKS right now I know. But I'm a witness that it gets better. Don't be vengeful, bitter and hateful during the process. Let your faith grow during the process and get to the other side. It will pay off in your favor. God is our vindicator. Live your life girl. No matter what, I'm always a fan.
