Have you tried this in Bronze 7? Bronze 7 has more of a yellow undertone and i believe will be a better color match for you. You did an awesome job! Please do a tutorial using all MK products. That would help your friend so much!!

I'm a Mary Kay consultant and absolutely LOVE this foundation. I personally love the matte wear. The CC cream and the luminous (for normal to dry skin) also has the same effect as your friend - adds too much moisture. I stick to the matte. Some days, if I don't feel like using the liquid, I use the mineral powder foundation. It's just as good and is also buildable! Your skin tone is absolutely beautiful, BTW! Shaecope Styles you may have to tweak what you are doing a little. Also you can add a little of a mineral powder foundation to help with your oily skin. That seems to work for me. If you would like more information just let me know.
