The Manager in this interview is my Dad. I loved hearing stories growing up from Mary Moody Northern when she came for her visits to Mountain Lake. Beautiful memories....What a jewel this is to find!!

This Interview from 1968 was 18 Years before Filming Dirty Dancing here in October 1986...very interesting to see this. In August 1987 came this Movie in all Cinemas...i love this Film and the Hotel.❤

I was digging on Dirty Dancing locations and how the lake drained till disappeared completely and found this interesting video about how the resort was made of wood. Kind od fun that this documentary is at the 50's 60's when Dirty Dancing story is located.

"Miss Mary" was a great lady. She, and later her foundation, have done so much good for Texas.

The lake doesn’t seem to be 100 ft deep, like she thinks. It must not have disappeared during her lifetime of going there.
