This was interesting ... to see Roxanne Pickford comment. Really great. I believe the color footage of Pickfair is of the new monstrosity built in its place. Her honorary Oscar was 1976, not 1972.

It’s a true shame that wannabe actress Pia Zadora tore down Pickfair to build said monstrosity. It would be so amazing if it had been preserved as it should have been. She tried to say they tore it down bc of termites but really it was bc of ghosts. I call bs on both. She wanted to be on tv about celebs seeing ghosts! She wanted it torn down to build some huge building with modern amenities instead of updating the existing house. With all the money her husband had, any structural problems could have been fixed. It’s seriously like they took down the White House. It was more than a private home. Should have been donated to the state like Hearst’s castle.
