Yeah, I noticed it too, but it was only for a season or two. He didn't used to (if you watch the earlier seasons) and he doesn't in the recent ones. I'm guessing eye issues or some medication

The winners and losers of the game are irrelevant. The show is about entertainment. The writers saw Lee show up to the studio in a floral shirt and wrote the card. Everyone knew it was a lie from the start. It's purely for how things would go given Lee was wearing a floral shirt.

Exactly what I thought! Also, the premise of these British shows are so much more entertaining and wholesome than the Americans who are constantly obsessed with winning money and the shows themselves lack any meaningful or entertaining content. It's pretty embarrassing, as an American.
