I remember getting Pirate Prude on CD for about $10CAD back in 94. My friend told me there was a member of Polvo in the band. The rest is history and future rolled into one!

Ex Hex came to Norman, OK; I came out and choked up even trying to talk to Mary. Longtime Helium fan finally getting to see her... still a little embarrassed. Very much so enjoying the two singles from this so far- Magic City bendy guitar vibes.

Your music has been exactly what I needed in some ways for awhile. Lyrics, emotion, & music. I'm fairly fresh to it(2 years). Someone recommended you on the basis of my love for Polvo's 'In Prism' (they countered, "TODAYS ACTIVE LIFESTYLES!" - i'm a bigger Polvo fan today). Obvious reasons. Dirt of Luck & the Magic City! Mountains! now Untame The Tiger! All speak to me. Still want to get all of the other solo albums. Hopefully Matador reissues the Golden Dove? Either way Ill be getting that & the rest. That Pirates demo on the Mntns reissue was my jam for a bit. A lot.... of fkn JAMS, dude. old & new. Got the Ex Hex LPs. Betsy rules! Autoclave on bandcamp. Considered jokingly yelling "HOT SPURR" at your XRAY ARCADE show two nights ago but i didn't. Heard/saw the "ill knock you down! " shout. It hit me biking home, "oh he meant, i'll take you down". After playing Autoclave a lot, Got into Casual Dots & Slant 6. Quix-o-tic on the list. Christina is wonderful too. And putting Youbet on your tour leg. Immediately checked it out in November. If MT is having them open,they gotta be good. "Compare & Despair" slays. They were awesome. Stay you. Lots of love! *Only saw this video after getting my copy in the mail 2/20. Decided to hold out for the LP to listen anymore beyond "Dominoes". Its always worth getting through all of the darkness, despair, depression in life. There's always light somewhere, when we look for it. Even with all of the fkd up things going on. [edit to add]
