We’re Doug and Jamie - an aussie / american couple who love adventures, good food and exploring new places. For the past few years we have be using what we’ve had to explore more of Australia - which wasn’t much. But in 2020 we upgraded Doug’s work van and it now doubles as our home on wheels part time. 2022 was the year we decided it needed a makeover so we jumped into a big van build series over the winter, ready to hit spring in our new setup! Our hope for this channel is to grow a community of likeminded people and to inspire others to jump in the drivers seat of their own life (pun intended) and create their own magic. And after surviving life in one of the most lockdown cities in the world the last few years, we are back in action ready to share our adventures!

Agreed with the decision to move to the caravan park, the wind, rain and everything else (lack of amenities) would have made for a not fun start to the trip! Excellent work both, what a magical start to the series!

gums aren't called widow makers for no reason..you did the right thing. I've paid $9 for a very ordinary pie..and most are around $7 ..your pies looked and sounded so good 🥧🥧

yeah the $9 pie that isn't worth it has got us before! but these ones hit the spot! yeah we could really tell as the weekend went on. it was not a smart idea to go camping near trees, always to be better safe then sorry

Great episode guys, you have mostly brown and rainbow trout in the river. Our weather is so bi polar. Bakery prices are crazy. You kids are crazy camping during that storm. 😂 We had a great time and warm weather in Goulburn.We really need to explore this side. It looks gorgeous. We live next to Melbourne Airport. What biscuits do you use for Smores? 🥧🥧

@@MICHELLE-gu2qc hey Michelle! hahah we definitely should have paid better attention to the weather. 😅 we made the most of it!! hoping we get some of that warm weather soon! We love using the Arnotts Granita biscuits for s’mores. We used to go out of our way to get proper graham crackers from the USA foods store but they are so over pricedddd :( we’ve tried arnotts marie biscuits as well but didn’t taste right. granitas are prob next best thing I think!! or a choc covered digestive I hear works great too. We haven’t tried that yet lol

S.E Melb We love the Marysville holiday park too! P for 🥧 ✌️ If you haven’t already, there is some nice free camp spots and scenery in the Lake Eildon National Park. Enter at Walshs Road in Goughs Bay, campsites go for KM’s!!

Hi Doug and Jamie. Loving the videos. Have you done or could you please do a video about how you convert the van from work vehicle to weekender. I saw the shelf come off and it got me thinking about doing a build that can be used during the week for normal stuff and fun on the weekend. Tracy
