LOL at those girls in Maai Mahiu roasting the guy for being light skinned. Funny thing is if you'd gone to Mombasa on the Coast he'd be the one getting called "cousin" because he'd look the most like the locals. FYI Kenya has about 45 tribes and people can usually guess your tribe by just looking at you.

We booked everything on our own, it's not too hard, once you find a camp in your budget, reach out to them about transportation.

We did take the yellow fever shot, but we had taken it in the past...…don't think it's required for entry if you are coming form the USA. All of our Safari experiences were shared.

When we were in Nairobi, we just Uber'd to the places and had self guided tours. For the trip out to the Mara, we booked it through our camp.

We booked our excursion separately on our own, but if you are planning to stay at a Safari camp.....look to pay $400-$800 a night per person, that's a good ballpark number for camps.
