The "original" form of Cell (barelly "humanoid", insect_like) has THE SAME regeneration abilities than Piccollo & "survival" capability than Freeza. He could survive in space without breathing (meaning it does not need his lungs & heart to "live", but only to power up his muscles & move around). Even with just a chunk of his brain remaining, he could slowly regenerate all the rest of his body [but it would take him a long time, since the missing mass would had to come from rain water & dirt/plant_matter coming into contact with the growing "flesh"]. The "almost magical" ability of Perfect (& even Imperfect) Cell to grow back "from a single neuron" requires him having access to at least 1 "Infinity Engine" from absorbing 17 or 18. -> The Infinity Engine is not a single "mechanical device" block, but rather a complete replacement of mitochondria in all cells (each with a microscopic intra_cellular quantum_reactor); so it still remains on Cell even if 17 & 18 are "extracted" out of him by force.

While I think Black would’ve panicked at first from the beat down from Rage Raunch, it’s exactly what he wanted. Remember, he knows that pain makes him stronger and is trying to tap into Goku’s full power, so after finally getting the challenge he needed he’d be overjoyed knowing he’s getting a step closer to what eventually became SSJ Rosé. So more flaunting and speeches from his part would’ve worked.

This....this right here....this is the darkest episode of what-if you've ever posted. God I was NOT prepared for that ending. Zamasu is easily the most monstrous villain the series ever had (Unsatisfying conclusion notwithstanding). I suspect Ranch is going to need a heart-to-heart with past Raditz to overcome the sheer despair that's hit her. If Shin didn't get ended by Dabura in this version does that mean Beerus is still around at this point or did Goku Black just add him to the list of kais to end before he came to Trunk's and Ranch's universe? One further question, did the Z-sword survive in this what-if since the outcome of the battle against Dabura was so diffferent? Just thought that maybe having the elder supreme kai around might make a difference in some way...
