Don’t forget Hav is still around too, I’m certain he never stopped brainstorming or writing despite the break, stories been finished. Masako just has to record them or possibly he already finished recording all his September and October videos prior to even announcing he’s back and he’s just dropping them on schedule which I think is a great idea if that’s the case.

People forget that the "break" Masako was referring to was just about him personally not creating new videos on account his busted camera and needing a well needed rest from the grind to focus more on his family Hav and the rest of the crew were probably as active as ever with helping brainstorm ideas and scripts with Masako, so I imagine there are still a good few scripts fully completed on the back burner

I’m thinking that Beerus showed up at the end for one of two reasons: 1: He’s just making sure Cooler knows his place before he remembers the Super Saiyan God exists. 2: The dream he had was different than in this story than the original. Maybe it implied that Cooler could be a good rival alongside the SSG.

Yeah I actually really liked Gas as an enemy funnily enough he’s actually my favorite fight past Black and one of my favorites overall in all of dragon ball. His ki weapons were really cool and so creative but of course since dragon ball has to dragon ball it devolved. He was effectively criticized for actually having an incredibly unique moveset unlike everyone else we’ve seen since Raditz who minus one unique move or two use the exact same fighting style. Frieza had his death ball, gero and 19 their absorption palms, the androids their shields, Cell his namekian abilities, dubura stone spit, buu the candy laser, and beerus the hakai. Aside from that it’s been the same punches, kicks, and variations on a few ki blasts (yes I’m counting destruction energy) in various colors. If there’s anything that db fails at it’s a lack of general creativity when it comes to movesets. I get that it’s the style but I don’t think critiquing a near wholly original fighting style was in good taste.

I really want to say I appreciate the background music in these what-ifs. In particular during this episodes wrap up right before the surprise visit really helped set the mood of rebuilding and recovering from The Big Gete Star. Only two people could scare Berryblue like that.

I don't know if I am the only one, but when I first heard of the Big Gete Star, I wondered if the Tuffles had been involved in the creation of the microchip that led to its creation. I know the Tuffles and the Big Gete Star were introduced in different timelines, the GT one and a film one respectively, but it just makes sense to me that there would be that overlap.

this series made me think about a Tournament of Power team for this what if genuinely, it would be fascinating to have a team consisting near-evenly of allies and enemies. ergo, you'd have Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and the Androids (sub in as you see fit.) and then for enemies you'd have Cooler, Gas, Salza, and a still-haloed Freeza. it would be amazing to see I think!!
