CONTEXT: everyone in the comments complaining about Masameer killing other animation projects needs to realize Masameer has been around since about 2011 (self funded) and has gained a lot of popularity in Saudi and the MENA area, even released a movie. glad to see these young artists getting the recognition they deserve. the show may seem off putting and bizzare mainly because the wit and tone are lost in translation IE; its not for the whites. Masameer hands down a better show than inside job in terms of both plot and characters...

I never even heard of Season 1 of this. But like Tear Along the Dotted Line, Netflix introducing me to new international animation that's not necessarily anime is a pretty cool thing. If Inside Job "died" for this (which it didn't, God, that set of animation fans even more deluded than the ones who think that Velma replaced Final Space because Fred looks like Gary and Velma looks like Quinn, despite Final Space being cancelled in 2021 and written off for taxes in 2022, and I say this as someone that loved Final Space and hated how it was treated by Warner and also hates Velma on principle and the things in the modern animation industry that allowed it to get made at all), then I'm perfectly fine with that. I would've only wanted Inside Job to stick around if it were written by a writing team with a majority of either classical liberals, libertarians (God, Inside Job's depiction of "libertarians" was one of the most politically ignorant things I've ever seen in an adult-oriented animated comedy series with overt political themes, and it makes me want to see Alisha Brophy and Scott Miles, the writers of that episode with the "libertarian" jokes get cancelled), or conscious supporters of Western liberal democracy that don't have inclinations to strawman conservatives or whoever are Alex Hirsch and Shion Takeuchi's least favorite people in the realm of politics, or at least the ones that haven't committed any actual crime worse than simply being moderately-to-passionately but not radically right-wing (for a lot of people, all of the people they disagree with even a little bit are either "the radical left" or "the radical right," and unfortunately, Hirsch and Takeuchi, for all of the good they may have done for some animation fans, seem like those kinds of people in regards to "the radical right").
