"Without Ammy, we can't go outside to take a nap. Rice won't grow. Laundry won't dry. We shouldn't just pray for things we want. We should also consider how the gods must feel once and a while. After all, the best part about Ammy is her happy-go lucky attitude!" Issun is my favorite companion in all of video games.

When Issun said "that furball can't do anything without me" I thought everybody was going to rant about something negative in Ammy, and she would try to demonstrate everyone that she's more than a simple white wolf. But boy was I wrong. Everybody was praising her, asking why the sun suddenly disappeared, seeing Issun's painting of her and giving her strength. And Issun just accepted his destiny as a Celestial Envoy and helped Ammy from the bottom of his heart. He spread the word, asked everyone to pray and value gods. To think about how they felt. And I started tearing up a little bit. Honestly I didn't saw that coming, Issun was a complete jerk in the last arc, and in the end, he was the responsible of the sun rising again in the skies. What a beautiful moment.

I think it’s more like Issun wanted to be ready for the depart knowing that Ammy will had to go her own way and Issun the same when he learns all the celestial brush techniques, yet it seems that he doesn’t want to go, and he fights to be with Ammy when she goes to the Yamato, he doesn’t wanted to say goodbye, and in a moment of need he helped a true friend

Beat the game for the first time not even half an hour ago, and just wanted to come here When this music started, the tears already started, too. I didn't even advance any of the text or anything. I just sat there and listened to the music for a bit It was weird. I asked myself "What the hell? Why am I crying?" I didn't get it. And then I continued the text and let this scene play out It was really beautiful. Amaterasu was getting beaten and losing her powers again, dying, and then you see the characters you've met throughout the game. Especially important to me, Issun, since he and Amaterasu parted ways before going into the ark just a while ago, and you see him now with the others praying, and how he mentioned that people should consider how the gods feel, too. Usually, how stuff like this goes, is about how the gods are there for the people, watching over them and being there for them in their time of need. So it was touching to see the situation reversed here. Yeah, the people were in need and in danger, too, with Yami and all. But still, seeing this kind of thing happen. Just regular people, praying, helping to be there for and give strength to Amaterasu, in a goddesses' time of need. And this music and all of that made me cry even more. It was my favorite moment in the game Maybe that's what happened, why I started crying before I let the scene play. Maybe I just felt it, you know? Maybe my heart felt what was happening or what was going to happen before I even knew. Maybe a lot of it is just the way the music itself sounds. I mean, here I am listening to this and crying again. The way it sounds, it just makes me emotional, I guess I don't know, but it was a really beautiful feeling We all need to let it out at times. Just have a cry and let ourselves loose with what we're thinking or feeling. All the stuff we go through in life, day by day. All the good times, and all the times where we feel like shit. All the times we feel like we want to go out and change the world for the better, and all the times where we may feel like life's not worth living anymore, and wish we weren't even here... We go about our days, and sometimes, because of that, and because of so much happening and so many different thoughts on our mind, it becomes easy to forget other things. Things that mean a lot to us. People we care about, or happy memories, for instance. Stuff like that. We all need to be able to have our own personal moments. Moments where we take a step back and remember who we are, and the things we cherish. Those moments where we just... feel human again, even if it's temporary. Just really feel human Even all this stuff I'm saying isn't enough to really describe it. But that's alright, I guess. We don't always have to understand these kind of things. Just feeling it is sometimes enough Or maybe I'm just crazy and I'm having one of those rare times where I start rambling on way too much when I get emotional. Probably just making another random ass comment here, letting out what I think and feel to nobody in particular. Like talking to a wall or to the mirror. Just one random comment out of however many there are. I don't know... But whatever, I guess. All I do know is that I'm glad I got to have a moment like this again. It was like a moment that I didn't even know I needed Like usual, and like I mentioned, I'll end up going about my own day and be focusing on other things, but for now, I'll enjoy this. This moment in this game and what it meant to me. So, right now, through whatever tears I may have running down my face, I'm happy. There's some sadness in there, as well. Bittersweetness and some personal regrets in life and whatever stuff like that. But for now, I can still smile, and I'm really thankful for that I'm glad I got to have this

I like this. Okami's story has always had a mix of mythology that works like a charm. Amaterasu was beloved, however it was the jealousy of her younger brother Susano-o that made her hide away in a cave. The grief of seeing rice fields torn and the flayed body of a baby horse in her shrine was too much. The world plunged into darkness. The evil in the Summer Storm had caused the Sun to go. The world was devasted. No rice could grow without the golden rays, no plants and flowers could soak in the sun's light. No child could go out to play in the sun, no animal dared step foot outside their nests and lairs. Spirits ran amok, causing mischief and evil. The other gods had to do something. So they gathered everyone, from the ants to the great Tsukuyomi, they had to bring Amaterasu out. It was then decided, the power of music would bring the Sun Goddess back. Loudly they played their instruments, cheered loudly did the common folk and rose into sung did every animal. Amaterasu, still crying inside the darkness of the cave, hears the songs, the cheers, the laughter. She grew curious. She slid the boulder away, and she saw a beautiful light. However, she realized it was a mirror, a reflection of herself. The gods quickly made her join the laughs and cheers, the sky lit back up with the sun's beautiful light. After so long, the world bathed in Amaterasu's light once again, and she could feel the gratitude and faith flood her body into a brilliant beautiful smile.

My my my has it been a long road to 2019. I am an 11 year old kid and I just played okami for my first time. It was awesome. People say this game is just fun or the soundtrack is really good but that is not how I describe it. It is an adventure. When I started playing I couldn’t even move the celestial brush because I was so bad. Then the rest of the game was actually pretty hard. I had to look up guides to know how to get through Oni island, sunken ship, wawku shrine, ETC. Whenever I got a knew power I always failed at first. But I had a growth mindset and that is something important in life. When I saw who Waka really was, I was shocked. That golden haired person from the moon tribe the celestial talked about. When this scene came I knew stuff was about to go down. Seeing the people that you met in your journey and seeing issun show and tell everyone what’s going on and having everybody pray gave me a feeling. A feeling that I had to save the world with no choice. Then it begun. I hope this isn’t just me and one of those comments that take forever I’m sorry, but for those who listened continue to grow and have life skills for eternity and I will bet that you will be a good person when you grow up. I’m really glad I got to share my feelings with everyone. Have a good rest of your day.

I remember the first time I made it to this fight. I felt overwhelmed with sadness because for a split second I had forgotten Issun didn't come with Ammy on the Ark. Then I let out the most gut-renching, anger filled, demon-scattering yell I have ever uttered when Yami stole Ammy's powers...again. So loud my mom had to come and check and make sure I was okay. I remember describing to her why I was angry, who the villain was and why I had tears in my eyes, I told her the adventures I had gone on in this game, the characters I had met and the experiences I had learned all while this song was playing in the background. I remember that day not because of just how amazing this game was, but because that day it clicked in my mom's head why I loved games so much. It wasn't just a time waster, they were stories I got to experience the way I wanted to, stories I could interact with and see and hear. I got to see my mom realize what games meant to me and how they weren't an escape but an adventure to be had. I'll never forget what Okami gave me that day and every day I have ever played it, it gave my mother a reason to understand why I play. Thank you Okami, Issun and Ammy too, of course Tama the fireworks genius, Mr. and Mrs. Orange, Susano and Kushi, Thank you to the Canine Warriors (you'll never beat me lol) Thank you to all the residents of Taka Pass, To all the residents of Sei-an, Kaguya and Mr. Bamboo, Oki and denizens of Wep'keer, All the Poncles and Celestial Envoys, And most importantly, Thank you Clover Studios... I'll never forget what I received from this one game, and I hope wherever everyone is, in quarantine or out and about, that this game touched you in a way that made you a better person as well. +Natok the Dragon [PresStarToPlay] Okami doesn't have that much in the way of Zelda-style puzzles. It's main puzzles are finding creative ways to use your abilities to get past stuff, in and out of combat.

This will always be the best game of all time. Deep, moving story, amazing, beautiful music, lovable characters, hilarious dialogue, challenging puzzles, education Japanese mythology; it's literally everything you could want in a game. It's absolutely perfect.

Slater Dragon 2 Most people that I've talked to seem to think that if it was any good... They would have heard of it. I have a friend who [Difinitely not judging or anything] thinks COD has the most "beautiful" visuals.
@thewaywarddreamer452010 жыл бұрын
adamtract9 Beautiful visuals my arse! These people (my honest opinion) need to look up new content, find some other games, and maybe, they will like it! And Okami did get thrown out of the top gaming magazines, tv shows, internet shows etc. because gamers don't want innovation!
@adamtract910 жыл бұрын
There's actually a KZbin series "Game Theory" that was discussing the idea that gamers don't like innovation. Their case study? Yup. Okami.

I had put this game off for so long, but I finally experienced it. I just heard this for the first time, only a few minutes, but I feel like I'll never forget it for the rest of my life. Ten seconds into the song, I wanted to cry. I have no clue why, but I felt like I needed to. This resonates in me so deeply for some reason. Some reason I can't even begin to comprehend. It felt like the tears were just pulled out of me. Absolutely no warning. I just wanted to cry. I felt like I needed to. I felt like I was longing for it all of a sudden. It pulled all of my emotions out of me in a matter of seconds. Not the scene. Though it was beautiful, this piece of music did that to me. Not the characters, and not the story. It was a song. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever crafted and will continue to be so. This game will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you, Okami. You meant the world to me. My only wish is that as many people can experience you as possible, and feel the same things you pulled out of me. And if I can be selfish, please let me experience something like you again one day. I would love that.

So I came across a tiktok with this song in it and my childhood came rushing back to me, came here to listen to it and cried my eyes out. This game will always be so special to me. The image of a younger me crying over a game for the first time came back, I cared about the characters so much in this when I was little. I think this inspired my next tat, I'd love something to resemble this game along with some of my other game tattoos.

This tune and this moment hit me in a new way today. I first completed Okami when it came out on the Wii, I think. It was a beautiful, beautiful journey with a story most films could only dream of. But I’ve learned a new meaning from the tale. Ammy, the happy-go-lucky Sun god, who never quits, who perseveres in spite of all obstacles ahead of her, fought until she couldn’t fight anymore. Her journey touched so many but they never realised her power until it was almost too late. Even the strongest of us falter, have our moments of weakness, need time to heal and be healed. We need to take strength from those around us who believe in us. It’s a story about faith and strength and courage and a reminder that in the darkest moments, there is still joy and hope to be found. It doesn’t need to be about religion, but it can be. Faith is more than that. It’s about self belief and trusting the belief that others have. In her darkest moment, that belief finds Ammy, and gives her the strength to carry on. She is literally reborn, stronger than ever, and she kicks ass. We could all stand to be a little more Amaterasu.

I had the Okami soundtrack playing in the background while I played World of Warships. This came on and made me cry. Story; I was the closest person the last remaining enemy, and I had half health. The enemy had half as well, but more in terms of actual numbers, about double mine. He was shooting at me. I realized that to win with the remaining time, I had to ram, sacrificing myself. I cried the entire time, because of this song. Which came on at the perfect time.

Funny, a similar thing happened to me in War Thunder. So here I am, in my A6M5, shot half to hell and just barely flying, and it's just me and one other enemy. .....and then right as I find him, "The Sun Rises" comes on. We slug it out for a couple minutes, and just when he's about to take me down, his engine gives up the ghost. I dump speed, get behind him, and rip his wings off with the last of my ammo.
@MrTalithan8 жыл бұрын
Reminds me of the time where I was last plane standing, as a bomber, with only one wing and by sheer force of will I managed to keep the bird in the air and limped all the way back to the airstrip and managed a landing. The gunners took down two of the last three enemy planes left, the third one had an accident and flew into a mountain. Like your story, The Sun Rises came on as I leaving the airstrip.

This game is so amazing.. It's my childhood. For real. One of my very first game. Started out just with my brother playing the demo and we loved it. This game never gets old in my heart. It rings through me, it's not just a game with a game play i like, with characters I find funny or attaching.. This whole world rings with me. You know I remember play a demo of this back on the PlayStation 2. Thanks to it I never played the actually game. Now years later, still remembering the demo I bought the remix for the PS4 and never once realized how in love I was with this game as a demo. Going through the journey with Ammy and Issun, together made me feel like a kid. You can take away so much from their journey into real life. Let take a minute to remember why we are here, why we chose to be who we are, and why we never lose hope well all see lost. Someone will always come to pick you up when you are down. Let’s to the same.
