Interesting jazzy tune. I like the way the bass supports the Rhodes piano style playing. Nice choice.

sure thing, i've got stuff from all over his catalogue on my list - it's up to the luck of the draw though ;) (i pick songs off the list at random, otherwise it takes me wayyyy too long to decide what to do next, haha)

@@justsomebasslines Oh btw, I meant to ask you, are your tabs available in other digital formats or just in PDF? I am interested in joining the Patreon, but I'm most interested in getting the transcriptions in Guitar Pro or XML formats
@justsomebasslines2 жыл бұрын
at the moment, i just have them available in PDF... i get asked about doing Guitar Pro from time to time, but i don't own it and haven't ever used it, which is why i set up a donation goal on the Ko-fi page i used to have before the Patreon, in order to cover the cost of the software/time it would take to learn how to use it and convert my tabs over to that format :) the link to that is in the description and channel page - if enough people are interested, i'd be happy to do it, though!

how do you get this awesome thick bass tone?
@justsomebasslines2 жыл бұрын
hey, i believe i've got mostly the bridge pup on this, tone mostly rolled off, clean DI into my DAW (Logic) and a rather chunky compressor (Platinum Bass preset on Logic, if you use it) + pretty minimal EQ on the bass signal, mostly just a smidge of low/low-mid freq boost. the rounds on this bass are rather dead too, which also helps. hope this is useful!
