Maschine Beat Making with Analog Strings, Substance and Signal

Got some of the OUTPUT plug-ins and just showed my workflow using them in Maschine. The workflow is crazy because NKS gives the power to control OUTPUT plug-ins just like Native Instrument Plug-ins. Enjoy this vid and if you like...SUBSCRIBE :-)

Uncle Kockz is simply put on a whole other level when it comes to using Maschine 3 to create beats! Everyone else just seems amateurish compared to him. I truly believe you could give Knockz a sample of silverware rustling around in a drawer and he will turn it into something insane!

can you do a video with only melodic sounds and no drums as if you was composing a movie background score. Hip hop type beats are created on all these producer channels, and im looking for different motivation and inspiration music.

With Signal, if you click the main logo/button it turns off the loop. That way it turns into more of a one shot or synth instrument.

Get ready for a stupid question! When using a VST, like Signal, are you actually recording the VST audio into a sample in a group? I'm so lost with Maschine still. Drums, bass, foundation to a track, easy; playing an improvisation over a pattern(s), vst's, etc.. lost. Seems easier for me to just use Ableton or my old rig that was specifically a digital multitrack DAW setup. (never had to fight it or waste time figuring out obscure work flows...) .

No question is stupid. I am sequencing the Signal VST, and don't need to record it as audio (unless its for a specific purpose like making it a sample to edit) . Not sure if that is what you meant.

@@KnockSquared If you wanted to product a finished track in Maschine, does Maschine include the audio feed of the VST in the mix? (I guess I should just go try it, but I'm only a few days into using Maschine and learning my way around)

You can do a full mix in maschine if you like or track out all the elements (including loaded VSTs) Any VST you have loaded in Maschine has its own channel where you can add effects and whatever. For instance. on group A I may have a maschine drumkit loaded. On Group be pad one I may have Sylenth1 loaded and on pad 2 have Nexus loaded. Both Sylenth1 and Nexus have there own track so you can mute solo add effects... record the audio ...whatever you want.

I actually started using VST today, and I'm much happier with the work flow now that I understand that you have the ability to turn midi patterns into Wav files, drop the wav files into new pattern slot and more or less have a track bounce type feature. I still say, Maschine needs a master pattern/scene option so you could record a sequence of live pattern changes across groups. With Jam, I love the ability to easily change my patterns in each group. However, with no ability to record this 'live' performance on the fly, I really don't get what the point of Jam is though. I can't be the only one who would love that feature in the future.

don't know anything about music theory honestly. I played the flute from 3rd grade until 7th grade. Sax one year and keyboards one year... started DJing at age 13 started making beats at age 17. Thats about the extent of what I know. One thing I can say is I think I have an ear
