I like to use the grid mode. It's usually accurate most of the time with some minor tweaks here and there. And I like to use the detect mode if I want to turn a drum sample into an instant drum kit.

Love your Maschine videos Bro! The best technique of your videos is that you show the hardware throughout the video. Most videos work from the software and occasionally show what’s going on with the hardware. I like working from the hardware exclusively whenever possible. Please do a video on using the CLIPS feature from the hardware controller. Thx much!!!

Thanks for the video! I use manual to find the right spots I want. How would I be able to assign one sample (sound even) to different pads with different effects?

Good question! You load a sound on each pad and int he upper left window on Maschine you have the options at the top (Master, Group, and Sound)_. Under sound you should see your sound in a sampler and next to the there is a plus sign (=). Use the encoder wheel to navigate to the plus sign (+) and click on the encoder wheel as this will bring up options for effects to use on that pad.
