Maschine MKIII Routing to Seperate Tracks in Logic Pro 11

Thanks Chad. Really intuitive. When I go to lay down a beat in logic, Im not getting any MIDI recording into Logic on the selected track. I did a little research and it looks like I need to be in Midi mode (Shift + Channel on MK3)? But when I do that, the full kit isn't working on the pads. Instead one sound is selected and spread across all the MK3 pads with differing pitches of the same sound. Would you make a follow up video showing taking this setup one step further and showing us how you record in Logic. I really wish NI was more DAW friendly.

Inside machine plug in, there are two buttons that SHOULD help with this. Unfortunately I’ve not been able to get either way to work perfectly, but that may be because I’m on a MAC with M chip. If you look above your midi data in machine, there is a copy audio button and a copy midi button. You can drag and drop these to the tracks. But then to avoid duplicate sounds playing at the same time, switch over to an empty kid on machine (since that’s always running, too) What I’ve found easiest so far is to just create the tracks inside machine then take the audio files and drop them as audio stems into my daw. But I will make another video if this new machine 3 software fixed any of the midi routing and I figure that part out! Thanks so much!

What about recording into logic from maschine. When I did the routing all tracks could be assigned to individual tracks in logic but then I hit record and nothing tracks in logic. Could only hear it

Yea I’ve never gotten that to work either. What I do is use the midi drag and drop feature or export the audio of the track. I wish it did automatically. I just build my tracks in Maschine plugin and follow along. Once I’m done with the arrrangment I do the drag and drops. Then I continue to mix from there. Thanks bro!! If you ever figure it out LET ME KNOW LOL!!! I’m with you 🙌

@ChadxD i do the same. I'll make a pattern in maschine inside logic and solo drag drop into arrange window of logic to build it all out. I am not sure what the benefit is of mapping the pads to their own tracks if not to be able to record right in the daw but I can see it makes sense since it's all midi lol

For me it’s just a preference. I’d rather adjust levels and add plugins in my daw to individual track sounds vs doing it inside Maschine.
