oi bea tudo bem, portuguese can be challenging language with so much changes to certain palavras, i guess one just have to try and memorize the rules
@PlainPortuguese7 ай бұрын
Oi, Carl! Long time no see! 😊 The best approach is to give it a try. Once you see you got it right, create at least 5 different sentences using that word, in order to learn it by using it.

I've been struggling with this one ALOT, very often I would use Masculine when I should be using Feminine, for a newbie, I always feel bad when I make such a mistake.. Thank you Bea for making this video!

It is not an easy matter to learn. There are some patterns, some exceptions...and in some cases, it is totally random. I always recommend to learn them little by little and practice a lot!!!! 😉

@@PlainPortuguese agreed! recently whenever I use a word that ends with 'a'/'r'/'es'/'e' I always pause and ponder whether the word is masculine or feminine, then I just look it up

I am about to post a video on some other word patterns that will help you with identifying noun gender...stay tuned (as I know you always do 😊)

Em espanhol VC não pode dizer "la médica". "Médico" é unisex. Mais uma diferença!

I laughed!! 😂 I think you already are a comedian!! 😂
@PlainPortuguese3 жыл бұрын
@You can eat in class!! Sim sim, você está certíssimo. Deveria ser 'Eu sou comediante.' Só faria sentido dizer 'Eu sou um comediante' se a frase continuasse. Por exemplo, 'Eu sou um comediante muito engraçado.' ou 'Eu sou um comediante profissional.'

Tell me about it! When I try (I said 'try') to speak Spanish I kind of butcher the language 😬
@josedrullon Жыл бұрын
I would not say confusing. Anyone who speaks fluent Spanish and is interested in Portuguese will have an easy time learning the new language.
@joshs.66084 ай бұрын
Grammatical genders is a very very confusing topic among english speakers, obviously nothing to do with biological gender for the most part if we are not talking about people or animals. It just simply a way to organize a sentence and I hope people who are watching this video will know that.
