I never like a maserati before, but because of this one review, it's totally changed my perception about this Italian Automanufacture. I instantly fall in love with the Ghibli. In spite of some downsides, i like the way you describe the main point of this car : It has a lot of EMOTIONS. A superb review ! Perfect angle, awesome sound from the exhaust! Strange, the infotainement and Garmin navi you dislike (Chrysler U-Connect syst.) was awarded JD Power award for ease of use in the USA. Who is right? Very slow german infotainement systems are definitly more cumbersome to use while driving. This is also a matter of habit, syst. you're familiar with, seems always better..Philgood

Best Ghibli review so far for me, I am thinking seriously to buy it and all I wanna see is how is this car looks like, my only concern is I don't want it to look small-medium car, I hope it's medium-2-large car, I like the size of Audi a7, and I hope the Ghibli is not smaller than this

Ik kijk nu al enige tijd (een half jaartje nu ongeveer) naar alle video's die jullie maken. Voorheen keek ik altijd autoblog maar ik moet zeggen dat bij jullie filmpjes de passie veel meer aanwezig is. Toch wil ik wel een klein puntje van kritiek (zie het maar als opbouwende kritiek ;) ) geven. Het valt me op (en ik merk dat ik er steeds meer op ga laten) dat je tijdens het verloop van de shoot steeds meer gaat schreeuwen. In het begin is het prima om naar je te luisteren maar op een gegeven moment wek je de indruk dat je vermoed dat wij je niet kunnen horen waardoor je steeds harder gaat praten. Hierdoor worden ook je zinnen kort en monotoom. Dat is zonde. Je zou eigenlijk je verhaal gewoon vanuit jezelf moeten vertellen, gewoon zoals je ook tegen je vrienden praat in een normale conversatie. Begrijp me niet verkeerd want ik kijk heel graag naar jullie videos, maar dat viel me gewoon steeds vaker op. Overigens ook nog compimenten aan het camerawerk en de bewerking want het ziet er altijd (zelfs ongeacht het weer) top uit!!

Firstly a great review - Thank you, very fair & honest, I enjoyed watching. Secondly - I love seeing and reading all the comments the Ghibli provokes. They do make me smile. But. I have to say...... This is the beauty of the Maserati, it provokes emotion, it provokes comment, it creates interest. I have never read so many comments regarding any of the traditional German Marques, Sure BMW, Merc, Audi, they are all great cars and very well built. But, they're not a Maserati. Is it perfect ? no it isn't..... But are the German marques perfect, really ??? No they're not ! But from experience, please let me say... I have had Merc, BMW, Audi & Porsche and always pointed them forward and they've done a fabulous job. But, the Ghibli, the 2016 model I own now, is streets above the Germans, it makes me smile and creates an emotion when I drive it that no German marque could ever create. Take the Ghibli or what it is.... a glorious sporty saloon ( sedan), that is not part of the norm, it isn't trying to be part of the crowd, it is purposely and beautifully different. Get one yourself and enjoy....

i had too find a review in another language before it was done right excellent engine sound manipulation is now commonly used for quieting and enhancing in both the interior and exterior of many vehicles most importantly those without reciprocating engines

Well of course german standards are the best in class, but Maseratis have a soul on their own. Imperfect, but singing such a mecanic melody. And it is rare on the streets. Everytime I see one passing on the street people turn around, look at it and listen. Most of them don't even know it's a Maserati but they have a smile on their face. I imagine that the driver too. Not the best but nice cars I think.

Het geluid van deze Ghibli vergelijken met dat van de vorige Quattroporte is echt belachelijk. De Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S van 2009 is mischien wel de mooist klinkende auto die er is. Deze Ghibli klinkt leuk maar hij komt echt niet in de buurt.

Very enjoyable video, good to see a presenter who really enjoys his job so much. However, much as I would enjoy the sound of that V6, for the price of around €100,000 I'd expect the best materials too. I think we are letting Maserati off lightly and should be protesting more about their " cheapo " materials and shared components with the Chrysler 300, a car waaaaayyyyy down market from the Ghibli.

Ghibli as a complete model, but they should have taken the front of the GTS and Quattroporte. Er zijn niet veel auto's die me kunnen bekoren. De meeste Duitse auto's zeggen me ook niets. Maar deze is wel erg lekker. Een hebbedingetje. ;o)

+MatTZI014 remember that german language (inlcuding dutc etc) and english come from the latin, so thats why he pronounce some words in english and other in dutch. Also dutch cant translate some words like sportivity and thats the reason they also do english

We're just a small country highly influenced by the bigger (english speaking) countries, thats why we use 'm. We even seem to have even more words to define specific things compared to english...

You got it upside down, The new MAZDA 6 looks like the old fifth gen. Maserati Quadroporte. The new Ghibli vaguely recall this short quadroporte.. But, in addition, the Ghibli's long hood and short high trunk reproduces nicely the original Ford Mustang profile style, totally revolutionnary at the time. Americans invent, italiens create and japaneses copy a style... but at least they have one style. No one copy germans cars because they have no style, or maybe only corean (or gangnam) style... Life's too short to drive ugly cars. Philgood
