Hi, Adrian. I've enjoyed your videos over the past few years and I'd like to thank you, because your content helped me decide on the purchase of my GT. I have a 2017 in the same color combo now for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. I've also had zero problems with mine. I've owned seven Porsche's through the past 25 years including 911 twin turbos, and I have to say that the Maserati GT holds up just as well as the best from Stuttgart. The key to these cars is keeping them on a trickle charger. IMHO, the Granturismo is one of the most beautiful designs to ever come out of Pininfarina, and the sound of these 4.7 Ferrari V8's is second to none. Again, thanks for the content and safe travels.

takeaway is get one in good shape/without the insane deferred maintenance of some maseratis especially ghiblis, and keep up on maintenance yourself and it stays solid

Great info thanks. I just purchased a 2014 Granturismo love it. I daily drive it. I only drive 30miles or so a day so we shall see might try and do some of the maintenance my self looks easy salute

Hello Adrian- another great video as always. I have a quick question bc I would love your opinion- do you think a 2014 Gran Turismo sport with 20k miles (3 owners), clean car fax, car in great condition, decent amount of options- for 38k is a fair deal?

It sounds like a good deal, but I would still want to do an inspection, if I was buying one. I have read that sometimes when they sit they can develop oil and coolant leaks, some people have also experienced the steering wheel controls stop working . Sticky buttons is another thing to look for . Does the car also have service records?

Your lucky man, my old 2011 GT had two engines blow up, my 2015 was ok, now my 2019 MC had a coolant hose blow and needed new coolant fan. very expensive.

There must have been some other issue causing the engine to fail. I have also read about some coolant hoses that are really hard to reach making the repair expensive

To be honest though....6 years of ownership but with 26k miles you cant really go by that. I want to see these at 100k and how they hold up mechanically

Thanks for the great video. What a beautiful vehicle. I have a 2013 with 46K miles. I occasionally hear a light ticking sound coming from the engine at idle.It's nothing loud and it comes and goes. Have you experienced a ticking sound on your Granturismo?

I recently kept getting an engine light. The code was related to the evap system. It was finally traced back to the gas tank, behind the back seat. The plastic top to the fuel pump was leaking fumes. It required a new fuel pump. It took my mechanic over a month to get a new one. $2,100 later, I was good to go. Yes, it was a pain to deal with but I love the car. It's truly unique, beautiful and the sound awesome.Thanks again for the great videos! @@corvettedude4423

It's an easy fix.. It's your evap purge valve. It's only a $40 part at the dealership. Plug and play type of change...

61k on my 2013 gt sport my altinator has to be replaced my 04 m45 Infiniti has 256k no altinator failure yet love the Maserati yet disappointed at the same time.

how much would you say maintenance out side of normal servicing has the car cost you over the six years?

So the one time i took it to the dealership for the noise I was hearing. ( Video in the comments) the dealer did not charge me anything. At first I was spending $380 to have Maserati change my oil, but then when they went up to $600. I started doing them myself spending about $120 a year with an OE filter. The engine air, cabin filter replacing brake fluid, replacing the battery( used $120 Napa battery vs $700 Maserati), I have done myself. So i haven't spent much all these years. The car is due for a coolant service, since they only wanting $200 I may just let them do it.

What is the mileage on the massi now I see some in my area for like 20 - 30,000 ranging from 70,000 miles to like 40,000 and what’s the engine life expectancy on these models in your opinion boss?

I think, we don’t drive the Granturismos enough to know how long the engine can last. I had asked a parts guy how often he’d seen a Granturismo needing an engine, and he told me in the 4 years working at Maserati he had never seen it.
